Gregory, also known as Patient 46 and GGY, is a major character in the Steel Wool era of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise.
He is a middle school student who has several ties to the mysteries of Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, including luring those who come close to uncovering the truth to their deaths at the Pizzaplex. Originally brainwashed into working under Glitchtrap with Vanny, he would somehow free himself before trying to escape the Pizzaplex with the help of Glamrock Freddy, the one robot not trying to kill him for betraying Glitchtrap.
However, even after redemption, Gregory would continue pulling off questionable actions like physically destroying the three other Glamrocks for their parts after they tried to kill him or even an attempt to keep the Mimic imprisoned, resulting in him betraying his friend Cassie.
He is voiced by Marta Svetek.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]
In General[]
- While the franchise has incredibly high Heinous Standards, Gregory still stands out as he has lesser resources and was pivotal to Glitchtrap's plans as he was the one who hacked the Glamrocks into doing Glitchtrap’s bidding.
- While he does have some comedic moments in Security Breach, such as being disappointed that he got a Mr. Hippo fridge magnet and calling it "crappy," or even making jerkish insults about the other Glamrocks and the Map Bots (considering that Security Breach is a more lighter game than the previous installments), the situations he’s in are generally played seriously, with horrific scenes like the destructive and brutal defeats of the Glamrock animatronics, the many cruel and sadistic death threats the bots give him while being hunted down, and his betrayal of Cassie being one of the biggest gut punches of the Ruin DLC.
Background[]
- He hacked all the Glamrock animatronics into following Glitchtrap's orders into becoming homicidal, likely to have them hunt any child that was left behind at the Pizzaplex after hours, and thus being willing to murder if needed.
- He manipulated Vanny into making sure she'll keep listening to Glitchtrap.
- He killed Vanessa’s therapists all because they came close to discovering the truth about Vanessa. It's said they died in very brutal ways. While off-screen, this does not negate Gregory's heinousness as they have on-screen effects.
Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach[]
- He damages Glamrock Chica, Roxanne Wolf, and Montgomery Gator in extremely brutal ways just to use their parts to make Glamrock Freddy stronger as a way to get back at them for trying to kill him and even lies to Freddy so he'll take the parts.
- Although this was mostly justified given how the other Glamrocks tried to kill him beforehand with there being no way they could be saved from brainwashing, it's still not treated as a good thing in-universe, with Freddy being worried for Chica and Roxy and Cassie expressing sympathy towards them (except Monty for killing Glamrock Bonnie) instead of malice and even wants to help them, and Roxanne herself holding a burning hatred towards him for deforming her and stealing her eyes.
- He also showed no remorse over what he did as he stated that they deserved it when talking to Freddy in Parts and Service after freeing him from his imprisonment.
Ruin DLC[]
- Although not confirmed as of now, he drops Cassie to her presumed death because he doesn't want the Mimic to be freed.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He ends up redeeming himself sometime before Security Breach, seeking to stop more murders from happening, growing to care for Glamrock Freddy and even redeeming Vanessa despite having zero reason to do so.
- He cares for his friends, as he shows concern for Glamrock Freddy's safety various times, even saving both him and Vanessa from Glitchtrap in the canon ending, and was shown to have comforted Cassie before the events of the game when she was crying (presumably over no one showing up to her birthday). Although he betrayed and possibly killed Cassie, he was very reluctant about it and apologized while doing so, as he needed to do it to prevent the Mimic to be freed.
- His actions following his redemption make him more of an extremist as opposed to an outright villain, as him supposedly dropping Cassie to her presumed death was to stop the Mimic from escaping and killing more people.
Trivia[]
- Some fans theorize it's not Gregory who betrayed Cassie, but rather the Mimic impersonating him again. Even if true, Gregory would still be IH due to his other actions.
