Fredbear, best known as Golden Freddy or just Golden for short, is the overarching antagonist of ShadowLL's Five Night's at Freddy's [sic] fanfic trilogy, serving as the central antagonist of Five Night's At Freddy's, a posthumous antagonist in The Horror Attraction and the overarching antagonist of The Calling.
He is the vengeful soul of a restless child called Joseph Fields that plans to have complete control over the animatronics. He is also the brother of Isaiah Fields, the soul inside Freddy Fazbear. Following his death at the hands of Foxy the Pirate, Bonnie the Bunny would create a false illusion of him to further manipulate Foxy, one that would redeem himself and team up with the heroes against the villains.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- While he does have a tragic backstory of being brutally killed by Mike Schmidt, he eventually gets over it and moves on to simply gaining as much power as he can.
- He would brainwash Freddy Fazbear - his own brother - and Chica into murdering night guards for him, leaving the two aware of their surroundings and turning Freddy into a hateful, vengeful sadist while terrifying Chica. His actions also lead to Bonnie having to join in the killing so Golden wouldn't realise he's not affected by his powers. This lead to at least three deaths.
- He kept trying to manipulate Foxy into joining his side, and would sometimes brainwash him into killing too, although he was much more resistant.
- He tried to personally kill Derrick Schmidt and Sarah Malcolm.
- He teamed up with the Puppet so they could kill all the other animatronics, including Freddy, while also pressuring Bonbon into joining them. That said, nothing indicates he cares about either of them, and it's implied he would've left Bonbon behind if he lived long enough to do it.
- He would keep tricking Foxy into following his instructions by pretending to be a good guy fighting against the Puppet. During this, he was fighting and injuring the brainwashed animatronics.
- It was also implied he was pretending to be the Phone Guy, this was only implied.
- It's implied him giving Foxy the "bad side" of his soul was a ruse that would corrupt or otherwise hurt him.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He has big moral agency issues. While the true Golden never shows them, his fully-accurate recreation proves he has amnesia and doesn't remember who he is. If he did, then he would've redeemed himself, making those issues too severe for NPE.
- Despite trying to kill him, he does care about his brother Freddy and hurts him only because he forgot they're connected. Once again, his illusion proves he would've been protective of Freddy if he remembered they're family.
Trivia[]
- Golden Freddy is an interesting case of an IH as he himself displays no redeeming qualities and it's only because of his clone, which is stated to be 100% accurate to the real Golden, displaying those qualities that he isn't PE.
