Gojira is a major antagonist in Monster Island Buddies, serving as the main antagonist of Season 2, the overarching antagonist of Seasons 1,3,and 4, the main antagonist of Season 5, and a supporting protagonist in Season 8.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- Was very abusive towards his son Godzilla, for instances:
- Forced him to bear up a innocent dolphin, despite the fact he didn’t want to.
- Harshly berated him when he didn’t fight or breathe fire at baby King Ghidorah, even angrily calling him “the worst accident ever”.
- Defecated on him while oblivious to the fact that his son accidentally fell in there and completely ignored Godzilla’s friends attempts to warn him.
- This eventually became one of the major reasons why Godzilla grew up to be so cynical and why he initially had a bad relationship with his own son Minilla in the first three seasons (even if his relationship did become way better and he did become a lot more nicer ).
- Gathered all the evil monsters and created a group called the LESBIANS and had them rebuild King Ghidorah as Mecha King Ghidorah in what they thought was an attempt to kill Godzilla and take over monster island when in reality, it was his attempt to destroy monster island (including the evil monsters) as he had attached a bomb to MKG and ordered him to crash into the Island. Fortunately, Rodan sacrificed himself before it could happen.
- In case his plan to destroy Monster Island failed, Gojira had a backup plan called “Operation: Paradox” which involved killing the past version of Godzilla which would summon the Space Time Pair of Ducks and thus destroy space and time. Fortunately this also failed.
- When Godzilla briefly died, Gojira pretended to be him and attacked his friends and tricked them into thinking he was their Godzilla. As a result, when Godzilla came back after beating Lord Blundergosh at a game of bear pong, they attacked him.
- Tried to convince Godzilla to be evil like him and to rule by fear and kill anyone who opposed them due to believing that them being good would justify mankind’s use of nuclear weapons
- Tried to break the truce between the Divine Moths and the Ghidorahs and instigate a war.
- When Godzilla eventually choose not to go along with his plan to break the truce, Gojira tried to kill him and when he had the upper hand, he tried to force him say that he was the true Godzilla.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is well-intentioned extremist, since in Season 8, it’s revealed that during his near death experience with the oxygen destroyer, he was visited by Cthulhu, who warned him that his end was to near and ordered him to prepare for his eventual rule created Operation: Paradox in an attempt to wipe them from existence so that they wouldn’t suffer a fate worse than death under Cthulhu’s rule, which would be being tortured for all of he eternity.
- He was shown to be capable of being nice to his son during his childhood as he let him hang out with Rodan and was even nice to him on his birthdays and even gave him Jet Jaguar to sing for him which led to them being friends.
- He eventually redeems himself in Season 8 when he tries to warn Godzilla about Cthulhu’s arrival and apologizes to Godzilla for all the bad things he did. Later on, after Cthulhu was defeated, he personally took responsibility for making a deal with Cthulhu and later convinced Lord Blundergosh into taking him to Purgatory instead of his son (Godzilla cheated death and tricked Blundergosh into taking Gojira to Purgatory instead but Blundergosh later found out). Furthermore, he also admits to his son that he is proud of him and encourages him to continue his role as the King of the Monsters and to protect them.
- Overall, while his schemes were treated seriously when he was a villain, he still had way too many comedic moments that detract from this, with even if his abuse towards Godzilla still being comedic, such as pooping while his Son was still in the toilet bowl in his childhood.

- He, King Kong, and Grand King Ghidorah are the only Monster Island Buddies villains to be inconsistently heinous.
