~ Arias watching over the ruins over New York. |
Glenn Arias is the main antagonist of the CGI film Resident Evil: Vendetta. He was a CIA agent turned bio-terrorist and arms dealer, who gained immense power within the bioweapons black market after TRICELL and Neo-Umbrella fell.
He was voiced by John DeMita.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- Sells Bioweapons at “good prices”.
- When the U.S. bombs Arias’s wedding he goes on a hatred toward humanity.
- Develops the A virus with the help of Los Illuminados and their Las Plagas parasites which makes people into Zombies only this time they can be controlled.
- Spread the Dormant A-virus into bottled water across the world so when the trigger virus is released people turn into zombies.
- Turns B.S.A.A specialist Kathy White and her son Zack as well as a lot of people into zombies.
- Lures Soldiers & Chris Redfield into a mansion in Mexico filled with traps and zombies, one room was filled with saws which cut two soldiers into pieces while Arias watched.
- Fights and nearly kills Chris then leaves a zombified Kathy and the rest of the zombies to kill him.
- Has his right hand Maria infect a scientist group who are studying the A-virus and making a cure which includes Rebecca Chambers, who would have been infected had Rebecca not conveniently cured herself.
- Has Maria kidnap Rebecca after finding the similarities between his wife and her.
- Unleashes the trigger virus for the A-virus into New York turning 50% of the population into mindless zombies.
- Planned on marrying Rebecca without her consent, as he tried to forcefully put the ring on her finger but Arias ended up slapping her, then he planned on replacing her arm with his dead wife’s preserved arm.
- Infects Rebecca with the A-virus again giving her 30 minutes to live.
- Has a gun-fu fight with Chris Redfield where the two miss each other so much to the point where is comical.
- After losing the guns on top of a glass roof, Arias beats Chris to the point of near unconsciousness which makes the glass roof break and Chris pushes Arias down the hole.
- After somehow surviving a 100-foot fall he makes his right-hand Diego unleash the final stage and get rid of his mutation limiters and Diego mutates with Arias’s body absorbed into Diego creating a giant humanoid monster with two heads with Arias’s being the one in control while Diego is just… there.
- After mutating Arias heads back to the roof to try and kill Leon, Chris & Rebecca.
- When shot by a railgun inside a tiltrotor he attacks it and kills the one who shot him.
- His efforts kind of proved to be in vain for the most part as Chris found the vaccine and cure for the A-virus and spread it across New York curing everyone who got infected (there may be some fridge horror to this too that’s irrelevant to Arias’s crimes, as despite the infected being cured it’s unknown how it affected those who lost vital organs and limbs or those who have remains of their families and friends in their bellies as the only ones who are seen being cured are those that are in one piece).
- He would have spread the A-virus around the world after New York, creating a world of the undead which is similar to what Carla Radames planned to do in RE6 with HAOS.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He’s Tragic as the US dropped an air strike on his wedding day killing his wife/fiancé who had nothing to do with his reign of terror.
- He loved his wife Sarah and her death is what drove him insane, he also kept her severed arm preserved.
- He appears to be genuinely batshit insane as he keeps the arm of his wife with the wedding ring attached and introduces it as Sarah to Rebecca, which gives him moral agency issues.
- He cares about Diego Gomez as when his head of the body Arias shared with him got blown off by a railgun by a woman with a terrible aim inside a tiltrotor he attacked it to avenge him.
- He did appear to be remorseful about slapping Rebecca in the face.
- Despite being insane he is affable and it’s not a façade.
