Giygas is the main antagonist of the Youtube video BUZZBOUND - Curse EarthBound Prequel by Lumpy Touch. Like his original counterpart, he is an alien who seeks to destroy the world, however this version of him is in an alternate future where he succeeded in creating an apocalyptic future, while having Ness as his slave, where Buzz Buzz must stop him after traveling 10 years from the future.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He presumably committed his original counterparts crimes such as his initial invasion on Earth.
- He is responsible for turning the Onett (and likely the whole world as well) into the living hell in the timeline where Giygas succeed, which including but not limited to:
- Pink slimy substance has covered the Onett nearly everywhere. It is suggested that the substance is alien in origin and it is suggested not to consume any of the substance.
- At least eight persons are turned into lifeless stones.
- At least one dog is turned into a mutated monster who attacks Buzz Buzz.
- The creepy shadow children and a house monster are created, and these creatures attempt to attack Buzz Buzz.
- Ness' mother and Ness' sister are forced to live as almost mindless mutated slaves which attack Buzz Buzz.
- Ness is turned into an almost mindless mutated slave who uses his psychic powers to attack Buzz Buzz. Also, it is heavily implied that Giygas is possessing him. After Ness is seemingly killed, Ness, likely under Giygas' direct control, attempts to kill Buzz Buzz.
- Unlike most villains by Lumpy Touch and despite technically being a parody, he is played for zero laughs or black humor, with his actions being taken dead seriously.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Due too never appearing onscreen, this version of Giygas has Insufficient Characterization and comes off as a Generic Doomsday Villain.
- If his Insufficient Characterization is ignored, an assumption claims that he should have the similar backstory with his canon counterpart because BUZZBOUND is stated to be the supposed prequel of EarthBound. If the assumption is accepted, Giygas loses Insufficient Characterization while gaining a tragic backstory and possibly other redeeming qualities, which still prevents him from being PE or NPE.
