Gary The Snail or better known as just Gary is the titular main antagonist of the horror comedy video "Gary's Children" created by Astrobort.
He's Spongebob former pet who's using the citizens of Bikini Bottom as containers for his children.
He was voiced by the video's creator Astrobort.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- Prior to the events of the video he murdered Spongebob, his own owner, to use him as a living container for his eggs.
- Before the events of the video Gary had kidnapped, murdered and mutilated several of Bikini Bottom's citizens and layed his eggs inside their bodies while they were all still alive and endured the process.
- It is also shown that all of the other mutilated bodies of the inabitants Bikini Bottom are inside Bob's room, preventing him from sufferint offscreen villainy.
- After Squidward got inside of Bob's house to check on him, Gary, using Bob's voice would try to convince Squidward to give in and become another living container for him, after seeing it wasn't working he reveals himself and knocks out Squidward.
- Shortly after Squidward wakes up Gary would mutilate his right eye and then lay his eggs inside his body, all of this while Squidward was still alive.
- While very unlikely, Gary mentions everyone is still alive, which could only make his actions far worse given his victims are still conscious with the eggs still inside of them, which could be considered a Fate Worse Than Death.
- While one could argue the fact that his way of speaking towards Squidward can come off as genuinely polite to some degree, with him even thanking Squidward for being the container for his children, this trait isn't actually redeeming at all. Gary views Squidward just like he views anyone else, the perfect container for his children, an object. And we can't say his politeness really holds up or is genuine with the way he treats Squidward. Not only does he knock him unconscious and crush his right eye, but he lays his egg inside him while still alive, which is an incredibly cruel and disgusting way to "kill" someone who you show kindness/politeness.
- While there's a possibility he cares for his children, is very unlikely given Gary's personality and treatment towards others close to him, if anything the only reason he's having children is to preserve his species or have extensions of him.
- Despite the video's short duration, being of only 2 minutes and 33 seconds, and Gary himself only having a few lines, they are more than enough for him to have characterization as he displays a clear personality and goals. Proven by his way of speech, which comes off as an over the top ominous fasion while faking politeness to Squidward in order to use him for his own personal gains of preserving his species.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- The reason of why he can't be PE or even NPE is that while he's taken seriously in-universe by other characters in the video such as Squidward, ultimately the narrative makes it clear the video is meant to be a dark parody that's not supposed to be taken completely seriously. Proof of this is the video's poor voice impressions of the characters, the entire premise of the video is solely based on a popular children's cartoon character's pet becoming evil for no real reason and murdering his own owner and several innocent people for no reason, additionally the channel has plenty of other videos similar to "Gary's Children" that are dark parodies, and Gary is no exception.
Trivia[]
- He's so far the only version of Gary to be Inconsistently Heinous.
- The video's end leaves both Gary and Patrick's fate ambiguous, as while is very possible Patrick ends up being another victim, there's also the possibility Patrick may be able to put down Gary given his abilities, but nothing is confirmed nor shown so far.
- The animation may have been based around an image of a mutant Gary telling Spongebob the eggs he laid inside him would soon hatch, however this is not confirmed.
- This version of Gary has many similarities with Eddy from Meatcanyon. Both are dark parodies of characters from children's cartoon who speak in an over the top ominous fashion that lure the jerk character from their respective series (Kevin and Squidward specifically) into their house and then knock them out, only for them to be sorrounded by the many mutilated bodies of previous victims and then get ultimately killed (atleast in Kevin's case).
