~ The Shopkeeper explaining how the console itself is the one behind trapping Elmore in it. |
The Game Child is a minor antagonist of The Amazing World Of Gumball, serving as the main antagonist of the episode "The Console".
Being bought from The Awesome Store by Richard as a gift for his son Gumball, it would soon trap Elmore and it's inhabitants in it as part of it's game "Inverted Paradox: The Enemy Within", where they'd soon lose their free will at the hands of the console.
It's Evil Ranking[]
What Makes It Heinous?[]
- Upon Gumball starting a new game in the console, it soon trapped Elmore and it's citizens in it's game, where they'd become NPC's as part of it's game and be robbed of their free will to act in accordance to it's script, esentially putting all of Elmore in a fate worse than death.
- This is shown when Gumball, after looting Mr. Robinson's house and money, he'd let out a single tear, yet be unable to do anything more than do a generic idle animation.
- It is indirectly responsible for several of the fights in the episode that occurr, as Gumball, Darwin and Anais all needed to grind in order to access it's boss battle.
- Once it's revealed as the enemy of the game, it soon attacks and tries to kill Gumball, Darwin and Anais, only to fail and be defeated.
- After Gumball beats the game, he soon starts a new game, meaning it once again trapped all of Elmore inside it.
- While the heinous standards of The Amazing World Of Gumball are high, the game child still stands out due to putting dozens to hundreds in a fate worse than death, while doing the worst it can with it's given resources.
What Makes It Inconsistent?[]
- As with most characters in the show, he is played for laughs, specifically during it's boss battle, with there being several gags to lighten the mood, like the final hit to defeat it being Richard farting.
- It lacks enough characterization, as it only appears near the ending of the episode, and only acts as a feral monster with no personality.
