Funnybot is a titular main antagonist from the adult animated sitcom South Park Season 15 episode of the same name.

It is a robotic comedian, built by the Germans in an attempt to prove that the Germans aren't the least funny people on Earth. Eventually, Funnybot's sense of humor grows dark, to the point where the robot wants to destroy the world as the ultimate joke.

It was voiced by the show's co-creator Trey Parker, who also voices Eric Cartman, Lennart Bedrager and other characters in the same show, and Kim Jong-il in Team America: World Police.

Its Evil Ranking[]

What Makes It Heinous?[]

  • It once massacred most of its audience by shooting and killing them during one of their stand up comedy routines.
  • It kill its own studio guard by stabbing him in the forehead just cause of him being in the way.
  • It hacked into the government's missile system in an attempt to launch the world's nukes in order to destroy the world as the ultimate joke.
  • While characters such as Eric Cartman have done far worse, Funnybot still stands out as it became a global threat in a short matter of time, as well as it only being a one-shot antagonist with far less resources than more heinous characters.

What Makes It Inconsistent?[]

  • South Park, being a series that relies heavily on dark comedy, is known for playing the most dire scenarios for laughs. In-universe, Funnybot's crimes aren't taken seriously, such as when they massacre their audience, which the characters still found the whole debacle hilarious and can't help but laugh at it (even the victims as well). The same goes for their attempt at destroying the world, meaning Funnybot isn't taken seriously enough to be Near Pure Evil.
  • After being defeated by Jimmy Valmer, Funnybot realizes the error of its ways and redeems itself.

Trivia[]

  • Funnybot and William P. Connelly are the only Inconsistently Heinous characters of South Park to only appear in one episode.
  • Funnybot is the only Inconsistently Heinous South Park character to make a genuine redemption and change its ways completely.
