Your best friend!
~ Flowey's flavor text
When I reach that goal, you'll be there to witness it. A spectacle like the world's never seen! So... When we meet again in that dingy room... You're gonna help me get what I want. Like it or not, I decide your fate now.
~ Flowey's most famous quote
I HATE YOU. Every second that passes when i'm with you is more misserable than the last, and it's always been that way. The only time i enjoyed myself was when i got to watch you die. Hundreds of deaths, endlessly gruesome, endlessly satisfying. When i look at you i don't see a "brave hero" or whatever you pretend to be, all i see are those beloved memories replaying over, and over, and over and over...and you want to know the best part? even if you kill me i know how this ends, there's never been any escaping it. That castle may aswell be a coffin because you are already dead, Ha ha you hear that?? YOU'RE DEAD!!!
~ Flowey's villainous breakdown and last words before being shot to death on the Genocide Route.

Flowey The Flower is a returning character from Undertale who acts as the tritagonist and one of the two overarching antagonists (Alongside the Blue Soul Human) of the Undertale fan-made prequel Undertale Yellow.

At first he presents himself as seemingly a friendly and helpful flower who aims to help Clover escape to the surface, however it is revealed later that all of this was just an act he put on to use Clover and get the SOULS of all the other children for himself, if confronted, eventually Flowey's going to constantly reset the timeline and trap Clover in an endless loop until he gets what he wants.

He acts as the main antagonist and final boss of the Neutral Route, a supporting character of the Pacifist Route and the deuteragonist of the Genocide Route.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • He's the one who altered the switches in the Ruins and caused Clover to fall into the Dark Ruins, thus making him directly responsible for all of their actions during the game.
  • If Clover waits for enough time, Toriel will come back with a rope to help them climb back to the surface, but Flowey will reset the game before you do so, forcing you to follow his plan.
  • He betrays Clover and kills Martlet by taking her off guard, which greatly affects Clover and causes them to fight him.
    • The moment Clover confronts him, he doesn't waste time and attacks them to later try and absorb their soul.
    • If Clover has aborted the Genocide Route or killed many monsters, Flowey will mock them for their "failed attempt of redemption".
  • It is revealed he has been constantly resetting the timeline, thus trapping Clover inside a death loop where they die over and over again, and it has been that way for god knows how long until Flowey decided to directly intervene.
  • During his fight, he will constantly torment Clover by taking the form of all the monster they killed or trap them inside the memories of places were they died before.
  • When Clover gets inside his mind and memories, he takes the opportunity to disguise himself as Martlet to find Clover. After they reach to her, Flowey repeatedly says "I FOUND YOU" while slowly melting Martlet.
  • He planned to fight Clover for all of eternity before eventually giving up, not without first letting Clover know he now decides their fate.
    • If Clover confronts Flowey a third time, he will continue to kill Martlet and fight them despite already knowing it's unnecessary.
  • At the end of the pacifist route, he can chose whether or not to reset the timeline, which makes this worse is that Flowey refuses to let Clover rest in peace and honor their sacrifice, not caring about letting their friends live their lives and forcing Clover to follow his plan.
  • During Genocide, he will constantly aim Clover and be supportive towards them, acting as their SAVE point, providing them stronger ammunition and allowing them to progress, making him indirectly responsable for most of their actions.
  • After Clover kills Zenith Martlet, he shortly appears and plans to reset the timeline again, ordering Clover to follow his plan.
    • After accidentally revealing his plan to absorb the Human SOULS, despite acting offended for Clover putting a knife in his back, he immediately says he wasn't above betrayals either, and tries to kill Clover one last time.
  • Realizing he no longer has control over the timeline and that he can't attack Clover or run away. Flowey snaps at Clover and expresses his immense hatred towards them, taunting them on how he enjoyed watching them die over and over again and claiming how they are going to die anyways even if they kill him, after this Flowey laughs in Clover's face as he's shot to death.
  • Given that Undertale Yellow is a fan-made prequel to Undertale, he ultimately commits the same villainous actions his canon counterpart does.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He shares the same backstory of his original counterpart. He once was Asriel Dreemurr, the King and Queen's son who lived happily with them and his adopted sibling Chara, but one day Chara convinced Asriel to let them sacrifice themselves so he could absorb their soul, cross the barrier and get human SOULS to free Monsterkind. However this lead to Asriel's death and the creation of Flowey, who is soulless and no longer feels emotions like love, compassion or hope.
    • This is also showed in one of the cutscenes in his boss fight, where he called for help to his parents or his slow descense into madness that made him the cataclysmic villain he is now, the countless time he has died and reset, which is portrayed for sympathy.
  • Due to being a prequel to Undertale, his redemption comes into play, where in the pacifist ending he fully redeems himself, proving that he isn't irredeemable.
  • He has a pet the dog moment in the Pacifist ending. After Clover sacrifices their soul for the sake of helping the monsters escape the Underground, he outright stated he could undo it by resetting, but chooses not to and decides to let them rest by letting their actions stick, calling them a friend in the process.
