Fleegle the Beagle and Drooper the Lion are two of the three main antagonists (alongside Bingo) of the live-action direct-to-video horror comedy film The Banana Splits Movie. They are the members of the Banana Splits who used to entertain audiences with their show until Andy announced that he is cancelling it, causing them to go on a homicidal rampage where they kill various adults in order to ensure that the show goes on per their programming.

Fleegle was portrayed by Terry Sauls while Drooper was portrayed by Kori Clarke, and both were voiced by Eric Bauza.

Their Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Them Heinous?[]

  • After getting spat on, insulted, and disrespected by Steve, Drooper brutally killed him by shoving a giant lollipop down his throat and bloodily choking him to death (even if he deserved it).
  • They proceeded to torture their creator, Karl, by cutting two of his fingers in half, only sparing his life so that he could do their bidding.
  • Upon spotting Thadd and Poppy, Fleegle put him in a magician box before using forcefully using Poppy to brutally saw him in half.
  • Afterwards, Fleegle made an attempt to attack Poppy, only stopping when he heard a couple of children nearby.
  • They proceeded to kidnap and imprison children in cages in order to prepare them as audiences for more upcoming episodes of their show.
  • Upon spotting Jonathan with his daughter, Drooper burned his head with a flamethrower and danced while Bingo put his daughter in a sack and kidnapped her.
  • They captured both Jonathan and Rebecca for their own obstacle course and when the latter tried to escape, Fleegle broke her hand before throwing her back in.
  • When Jonathan made it to the ball pit, Fleegle brutally stabbed him in the back with a key before throwing him off the course.
  • When Rebecca made it to the end of the course, Drooper brutally smashed her head with a hammer.
  • They proceeded to kill many adults that they came across as evidenced by the pile of dead corpses that the main protagonists came across.
  • They held children hostage to watch their show in spite of how twisted some of the stunts they perform were.
  • They put Andy, who they had kidnapped earlier, on their own twisted version of the Banana Splits wheel and spun that wheel and when it landed on Banana Split, they proceeded to brutally kill him by tearing off his limbs and legs.
  • When Beth freed the kids and tried to stop them, they tried to kill her by burning her to death only to end up being destroyed by her.
  • While in the cart Poppy was driving, Fleegle awakened and chuckled, indicating that he might kill Poppy and continue his killing spree.
  • While they had comedic moments, none of them detracted from their villainy and they were still taken seriously in-universe.

What Makes Them Inconsistent?[]

  • They were only following their program and had no sense of what is right and wrong, meaning that they were not only very amoral, but also villains by proxies as well. In addition, it's entirely possible that if they became assassins, it's not just because their show was canceled, but because a mysterious pirate software called "the show must go on" invaded their system and them completely out of whack, as seen in the Drooper update.
  • They could be considered extremists since their objective in the end was to entertain children and ensure that their show must go on.
  • They had people they cared about:
    • They seemed to have some care for children as one of the reasons as to why they wanted to continue their show was to continue being around them, though they were still willing to hold them hostage and keep them imprisoned to watch their show.
    • They seemed to care for Bingo, having Karl fix him when they spotted him destroyed.
  • They were in the grey zone since it was ambiguous as to whether or not they were truly evil as while their actions were unobjectively heinous, in the end, their whole objective was to ensure their show went on and they still got to be around kids, combined with the fact that they were following their programming.
