~ Emperor Belos |
Philip Wittebane, later known as Emperor Belos and often advertised as Supdupgoop, is the main antagonist of the various Tomotasauce videos that spoof The Owl House. He is a parody of the original show's main antagonist.
He is voiced by Tomotasauce himself, who dubs assorted clips from The Owl House.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- For starters, he commits many of the same worst crimes as his canon counterpart, most notably including:
- Murdering his own brother Caleb Wittebane in cold blood.
- Making Grimwalkers and then killing them for disobedience.
- Attempting to commit genocide against everyone in the Boiling Isles.
- Consuming the souls of countless palismen.
- Unlike his canon counterpart, this version Belos isn't completely delusional, but rather he openly admits that he's evil several times in several videos.
- Not only does he have no remorse for killing Caleb, but sometimes like in "When Villains... Unite?" he even brags about it.
- Furthermore, in "Belos' Sibling Issues" when Caleb's ghost mocks Belos for killing him, Belos actually tries justifying his act of fratricide to Caleb's face.
- "Belos Has MORE Sibling Issues": He expresses a desire to strangle the ghosts of the Grimwalkers even after he killed them.
- "YOU HAVE FUN WITH IT": When the Collector says Belos enjoys killing Grimwalkers, Belos admits he does and looks back fondly on all the different ways he's killed them.
- "Villain Hobbies": He admits that he actually enjoys killing and consuming palismen. He even specifies that what he enjoys about it is the act of killing things.
- "Belos has had enough": He mocks Lilith for having dead family members.
- "Belos is a Villain": He claims to have eaten a cat and then he brags about it to Hunter.
- "Beta Belos isn't real...": He tries to reassure Hunter (who had a nightmare) by saying "no one will hurt you but me, Hunter."
- "Belos Hates Hugs": He attempts to kill the Collector just because the Collector hugged him. In fact, Caleb's ghost tried to tell him not to do so because the Collector is only a child, but Belos knows and doesn't care.
- "Belos Hits Puberty": He thinks his voice actor getting a new mic is a reason to kill all witches. When Hunter what that has to do with witches, he says "I dunno, but hear me out: kill."
- "Belos can't take a joke": He orders Kikimora to kill Coven Scouts for laughing at him.
- "For The Future in a Nutshell": He takes advantage of how sad the heroes are specifically because it'd be a mean-spirited thing to do.
- "Golden Guard is a Fraud": He possesses Hunter specifically because he wants to be yet another Disney villain who took over a fan-beloved character's body.
- "WE FOUND THE CULPRIT!": He leaked parts of the series finale of The Owl House on iTunes specifically because he wants to be among the most loathed Disney villains. He considers this action to be irredeemably evil and he did it for exactly that reason.
- "VOTE BELOS!": He stages elections where he's the only candidate to boost his ego.
- "TASTE THE RAINBOW": He is so homophobic that just the word "gay" repulses him, and he tosses Luz across the room just because he learned she's bi.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Because he is a parody of his canon counterpart, none of Belos' crimes are taken seriously and all of them are played for laughs. The most heinous actions of the canon Belos (namely killing his brother, murdering Grimwalkers, consuming palismen, and attempting genocide) are all spoofed via black comedy. Even his sadism and his lack of remorse are never played seriously by the videos.
- He also has several gags that aren't black comedy but are just normal jokes. For example, "Belos can't take a joke" has him fail a tongue twister, "No Thanks To Him" has him not understand memes, and "Belos is a Villain" has him do a spoof of the Real Time Fandubs Dr. Eggman "I've come to make an announcement" speech.
- It is vaguely implied that Belos has standards. For instance, when Steve in "When Villains... Unite?" says that he spit on a child for no reason whatsoever, Belos says that's less "evil" and more just "screwed-up." Similarly, he is genuinely surprised in "The Collector's Stupid Puppet" by how much of a soulless husk Odalia Blight is, even saying that she's "a sack of sh-t."
