Edmaris Falmuth is a major antagonist in the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series.
He is voiced by Hiroshi Yanaka in Japanese and by Bill Fynn in English.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]
In General[]
- While he was manipulated by Clayman to attack the Jura Tempest Federation, he doesn't suffer from moral agency issues as he was already greedy and Clayman only had his underlings be undercover merchants to show him the goods of the Jura-Tempest Federation to get him to attack it so he wasn't mind controlled or influenced by abilities.
- Despite the high heinous standards of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime he stands out for few reasons:
- He is one of few villains to get a main character killed as he temporally got Shion killed temporally through his men.
- While he has similar resources to Yuuki Kagurazaka and Mariabell Rosso, he lacks their superhuman abilities & skills and he only had ordinary soldiers & 3 Otherworlders to work with here.
- He is also one of the few villains to drive Rimuru Tempest into his breaking point as the only other villain who done it is Rudra Nam Ul Nasca.
- He is responsible for the infamous Falmuth Invasion event which is one of the most darkest events of the series.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime[]
- He worked together with the Western Holy Church to subjectate the Jura-Tempest by having Shogo Taguchi, Kirara Mizutani, and Kyoya Tachibana to cause trouble in the nation to make them attack them back and play victim as a excuse just to attack it out of greed for the nation stealing trade and for being advanced than Falmuth. This is too petty of an Freudian Excuse to justify it one bit.
- Once Razen and the 3 Otherworlders provoked the Nation of Monsters, he would send in Folgen to attack the Jura-Tempest Federation's capital Rimuru City which would get 100 people including Shion killed which would've driven Rimuru Tempest into his breaking point. With giving the Nations of Monsters terrible surrender conditions; Be a vassal under their rule, enslavement or extermination giving them one week to make up their mind.
- To make it worse some were other humans to silence witnesses and the soldiers killed civilians including children out of sheer xenophobia and sadism towards non-humans giving him warcrimes under his belt in the first attack as shown in the Trinity in Tempest spin-off.
- He would've had 20,000 soldiers attempt to destroy the Jura-Tempest Federation which would've resulted in a loss of many innocent lives and while was Rimuru Tempest was the one killed them, it was still on Edmaris' part for being responsible for their actions since it forced Rimuru to resort to such act to protect his nation from being wiped out.
- The attack itself doesn't rely on Fridge-Horror as an alternate timeline story made by series creator Fuze for ISEAKI Memories Mobile game where it shows an alternate timeline where Rimuru is slain by Hinata Sakaguchi in their encounter and reveals nearly everyone was killed or enslaved in the Jura-Tempest Federation with only few getting away. This would show what would've happen had he succeed in the main series if Rimuru didn't destroy Falmuth's army as many innocents would’ve been killed or enslaved.
- Even when he saw enraging Rimuru was mistake, he attempt to bad mouth him and lie to him trying to play dumb he was trying offer peace talks and was told humans were attacked which Rimuru did not buy one bit which resulted in Edmaris' arm being blow off played for karma his actions.
- Despite his harsh and brutal torture by Shion, it is played for karma for his act of attempted genocide on innocents to fulfill his greed including which getting her killed earlier.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- The main reason he can't be Pure Evil or Near Pure Evil is he redeems himself after his defeat, he forfeits the throne to Youm after showing regret for his actions and become an advisor for his successor.
- While it doesn't completely excuse and justify his actions, he cares for his nation as his trade was threatened and invaded it for their technology.
- He shown care for his son Edgar, his two unnamed daughters and shown gotten along with Folgen, Razen and Rayhem genuinely.
