The Double King is the titular main protagonist of the dark fantasy YouTube video with the same name.

He is a monarch who left his own kingdom and became obsessed with killing the other monarchs so he could steal their crowns.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • The monarchs he killed are known to be sapient, as shown with Augustus, the rat king, kindly welcoming the King before having his skull ripped off by him and the Lord of the Flies screaming in pain before having his head cut off by him.
  • Upon arriving at the castle where the rats live, he approaches Augustus, the rat king, as the latter welcomes him, brutally kills him by ripping his skull out, and steals his crown to become the titular Double King.
  • When Augustus' disciples arrive outside the castle where the Double King lives, he sets up a mousetrap with a block with cheese as a trap for them so he can simply get rid of them.
  • When a pumpkin turns into Lady Gertrud thanks to a cloud monarch named Stratomonarchus, the Double King approaches her, smashes her head, and takes her crown away so he can wear it before rotting, causing the Lord of the Flies and his subjects to appear from the crown.
  • Upon catching the Lord of the Flies with Gertrud's rotten crown and pinning him down with his fork, he brutally kills him by cutting his head off with his knife before stealing his crown to wear it as his own ring.
    • What makes this worse is that the Lord of the Flies is sapient, as he was shown screaming in pain before having his head cut off by the Double King.
  • He brutally kills Harg, the snake queen, by stabbing her in the head with two knives, causing her to fall to the ground and push him with her crown down to the sea.
  • He shoves Ronald, the fish king, into the land, causing him to suffocate to death, and tries to steal his crown before a crab emerges from it and crawls away into the sea with it.
  • After Aldo becomes a butterfly and making a caterpillar as his successor to his throne, the Double King pursues him by firing a missile at him that attaches onto his leg, chasing him until they both arrive at the land of the butterflies, where the Double King will seize him in an attempt to find his crown, only for him to find his keys.
  • Upon seeing Olov, the dormant mountain king, he uses his own machine to assault him, uses a cannon to launch himself into his crown, and fires his rifle at the machine to make it back off.
  • Upon encountering Durt and his only guard, he attempts to steal his crown before he is distracted by a cockatoo with crown-like feathers, which leads to him attempting to catch it, before eventually getting lost in a jungle and dying from blood loss.
  • Upon arriving at the dead realm, he attempts to steal Agatha's crown numerous times before assaulting her by punching her in the eye, causing her to be angry at him and slam him into his seat.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • Saying that he is too comedic to be NPE or PE would be an understatement, as there are many comedic moments that detract from his heinousness, which include:
    • All of his kills against the sapient monarchs and his crimes of stealing crowns from other monarchs are completely played for laughs.
    • Him having a pumpkin queen as one of his murdered victims.
    • After Ronald's death, he tries to steal his crown, only for a crab to emerge from it and crawl away into the sea while an incredibly short steelpan music plays in the background.
    • There is a running gag of the disciples of other monarchs are waiting for the Double King to meet them after he brutally kills most of them.
    • Upon entering the dead realm, the monarchs he killed are simply annoyed at him because they couldn't withstand with his antics.
    • There is a running gag of him stepping on Harg, which causes to a fork stuck inside her head.
    • Him childishly throwing a temper tantrum at Agatha for her crown.
    • After having Agatha's crown, his defeat of him running into a void of outer space is completely played for laughs.
  • He has moral agency issues due to his insanity, after getting stranded in a jungle and failing to catch a cockatoo with crown-like feathers, the Double King fantasizes that his hand is a separate creature who wants to usurp him and his crown before cutting his finger to prevent it from doing so, before hallucinating and dying from blood loss.

Trivia[]

  • He is the only Felix Colgrave villain to be Inconsistently Heinous.
