Diana: It's been a long time, Agent 47.
Agent 47: That's not who I am anymore. The pact is done. ... The past...dead.
Diana: And yet...here you are.
Agent 47: I choose this path because I can. There will always be people like them. So there will always be people like us.
Diana: No one is untouchable.
Agent 47: It's good to be back.
~ DIana and 47 choosing to remain as assassins after the destruction of Providence and ICA

Diana Penelope Burnwood is the deuteragonist of the Hitman video game series. She serves as the handler of Agent 47, providing him with clients, targets, and information.

She was voiced by Vivienne McKee in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts, and Hitman: Blood Money, Marsha Thomason in Hitman: Absolution, and Jane Perry in the World of Assassination trilogy.

Her Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Her heinous?[]

In General[]

  • She gives 47 briefings and details about almost each of his missions.
  • In the World Of Assassination trilogy, she assists at almost all of his missions, which includes the main story missions but also the special assignments, Elusive Targets, Sniper Assassin targets, Patient Zero targets, and Freelancer missions. During each of them, she will give 47 hints, mission stories, and sometimes some ways of killing targets, which makes her largely heinous enough to pass the high heinous standards.

Early Life[]

  • After her parents were killed she contacted a gang boss Savi who helped her get revenge on the people who killed them, she was hesitant to kill one but Savi’s sniper shot him.
  • Enraged at Savi she usurps control of the gang and orders Savi to be killed by her own men.
  • She runs Savi's gang as an assassination agency.

Hitman: Blood Money[]

  • Fakes 47’s death to save the Agency and Liquidation and also revived him by kissing him, which allowed him to kill 13 people at his funeral including an innocent journalist and priest.

HITMAN[]

  • Oversaw Agent 47 kill Victor Novikov, Dalia Margolis, Silvio Caruso, Francesca de Santis, Reza Zaydan, Claus Hugo Strandberg, Jordan Cross & Ken Morgan.
  • Oversaw 47’s mission in Colorado to get intel on the Shadow Client by killing Sean Rose, Maya Parvati, Penelope Graves & Ezra Berg. Graves and Berg in particular are sympathetic, well-intentioned people who didn't really deserve to die.
  • Enraged by Erich Soder’s betrayal she oversees 47 kill him as well as Yuki Yamazaki.
  • When confronted by Arthur Edwards on the train she reluctantly agrees to work with him to go to war with the Shadow Client on Providence’s side.

HITMAN 2[]

  • Oversaw Agent 47 kill the shadow client’s associates in his private militia, who are Alma Reynard, Rico Delgado, Jorge Franco, Andrea Martinez, Wazir Kale, Dawood Rangan & Vanya Shah.
  • She also oversaw Agent 47 kill Providence defectors Robert Knox & his daughter Sierra.
  • Upon finding out who the shadow Client Lucas Grey really is, she reluctantly betrays providence and joins Grey’s side with 47.
  • Oversaw 47’s mission with Grey to kill the previous constant Janus and Providence employee Nolan Cassidy.

HITMAN III: Shadows of the Water[]

  • Provided cover and Oversaw 47’s mission with Grey in Ambrose island to kill Noel Crest & Sinhi Venthan.

HITMAN 2 Continued:[]

  • Oversaw 47’s mission in Isle of Sgail to kill the Washington twins Zoe & Sophia, as well as kidnap Arthur Edwards to get intel on the providence partners.
  • Upon kidnapping Arthur Edwards she interrogates him with grey & 47 asking for info on the providence partners, which he gives.
  • Upon the partners faking their deaths, she gets the idea from Edwards to track their bank accounts in New York, and Oversaw 47’s mission there to kill Athena Savalas as well as retrieve the bank’s information.
  • Upon discovering the three partners made a transfer from haven she Oversaw 47’s mission in Haven Island to kill it’s owners Tyson Williams, Steven Bradley & Ljudmila Vetrova.

HITMAN III:[]

  • Oversaw Grey & 47’s missions to take down the providence Partners Alexa Carlisle, Carl Ingram & Marcus Stuyvesant.
  • “Joins” Edwards side after Lucas killed himself and discovering 47 killed her parents.
  • Goes to Mendoza, Argentina to lure 47 for Edwards as well as give him the mission to kill Don Yates & Tamara Vidal, as well as put a neurotoxin in him while comforting him.
  • Though she got along well with Vidal she still orders 47 to kill her.
  • She can help 47 kill Vidal while touring through the wine factory, for instance turning on a radio to distract the tour guide or their associate Corvo Black while at a grape crusher which 47 can push Vidal into and she’ll be shredded, distract the guide when at a grape presser so 47 can crush Vidal.
  • When in a meeting with Providence she will go against Yates’s decision to be constant which will make her forcibly taken to YAte’s room to be murdered and when 47 comes in she will Stab Yates in the chest while telling him he was right not to trust her & telling him she will be the new constant, then order 47 to finish him off which he does, or doesn’t given that Yates will eventually bleed out and die.
  • “Betrays” 47 when meeting him outside and knocking him out with the neurotoxin and leaves him to Edward’s Mercy, however it was a trick as she gave 47 the wrong size of dose so he can get close to Arthur Edwards and kill him.

What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]

  • She has a genuinely tragic backstory, at age 9 her brother James was killed when Blue Seed pharmaceuticals leaked dangerous chemicals in the water which James was exposed to and shortly after his funeral her parents were killed in a car bomb explosion by Agent 47 leaving Diana an orphan to fend for herself.
  • Despite him killing her parents and shooting her in the shower she has a genuine friendship with Agent 47 with the two caring with each other
  • She cares for Victoria rescuing her from Benjamin Travis and watching over her in her mansion.
  • It’s clear that she loved her family.
  • She felt a little bad about having Vidal die.
  • She is honorable as she wanted to kill Erich Soders for betraying the ICA
  • She is on & off as she played a heroic side by saving Victoria from Travis, helping destroy Caruso’s virus, Nabazov’s virus, stopping Zaydan’s military coup & helping take down Providence with Grey & his associates.
  • While he was skeptical of him at first she warmed up to Lucas Grey.
