Darla is a major antagonist in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the spinoff Angel. She is the vampire that turned the human Liam into Angelus, the most evil vampire in history.
She is portrayed by Julie Benz.

What Makes Her Heinous?[]
- Turned Liam into a vampire and created Angelus, one of the most evil vampires in history and took part in some of his worst crimes such as killing Liam's family and the murder and rape of Daniel Holtz' family.
- Helped Angelus slaughter his entire village.
- She was willing to abandon Angelus to save herself.
- Kidnapped a kalderash girl and gave her to Angelus who killed her.
- Cast Angel out after he was cursed.
- Killed the entire family Angel saved from her after regaining his soul except for the baby who she tried to make him feed on.
- Tried to frame Angel for hurting Buffy's mother so that he would be forced to kill her and embrace his darker nature as a result.
- Tried to kill Buffy, forcing Angel to stake her.
- Assisted Wolfram and Hart in a plot to frame Angel for murder and got an innocent man killed in the process.
- Tried to turn herself back into a vampire despite knowing what it would mean for innocent people and Angel trying to talk her out of it.
- Killed Holland Manners' wife.
- Murdered many Wolfram and Hart lawyers alongside Drusilla.
- Repeatedly tried to corrupt Angel and make Angelus again.
- Tried to kill Cordelia even though she was nice and supportive about her pregnancy.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- Despite her willingness to betray him, she was attached to Angelus and rescued him from being tortured by Holtz.
- She was loyal to The Master.
- She was genuinely moved by all the effort Angel went through to save her, urging him not to give his life and comforting him when his efforts failed.
- She had a friendship with Drusilla and comforts her when she gets upset while explaining why she turned her back into a vampire.
- She genuinely loved her son Connor, which drove her to redeem herself.
- She felt remorse over the pain she had caused Holtz and expressed this to Angel. She also lamented her past sins when talking to Connor as a spirit.
- She redeems herself by staking herself to ensure the birth of her son Connor. This scene is played for immense sympathy and she had already showed remorse for her actions, straying her far away from Near Pure Evil.
- Appears to Connor as a spirit and tries to talk him out of continuing his dark path and becoming a murderer.
