~ Dark Stanley while making his "Kid's Head Soup". |
Stanley DeGroot, later and best known as Dark Stanley, is a one-shot antagonist of The Simpsons, serving as the posthumous overarching antagonist of the Season 18 episode "Yokel Chords".
He was the cook of the Springfield Elementary School, where he was forced to work after his failure at graduating from MIT according to legend. However, this setback led Stanley to be picked on by the kids he served, so one bad day, deciding that he had gotten enough taunts, Stanley decided to give a lethal lesson to all those jerkish kids.
He was voiced by Dan Castellaneta.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He murdered at least 8 students from his workplace Springfield Elementary School with his butcher knife due to these kids jerkishly mocking him for dropping out from MIT, before decapitating the corpses of the kids and using them to prepare "Kid's Head Soup", a "new entreé" for the menu, which he spiced with the heads of his victims.
- Though the children were mean-spirited and deserved a punishment, they did nothing too bad to deserve such deaths.
- Among the kids he killed was Dr. Stacey Swanson's son, traumatizing her for a long time before meeting Bart Simpson.
- While he did originally have an excuse of being picked on due to failing at finishing his MIT education, his "tragedy" becomes moot compared to the atrocities he committed to get revenge on those mean kids, extremely overreacting to childish and stupid taunts that the kids came up with just to annoy and get on his nerves.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is too comedic for NPE, with his character being one big joke about Bart telling a scary story to get everyone's lunches only to turn out to be real.
- He suffers from a lack of characterization due to him just appearing in a quick sequence where he doesn't even have more than one line.
Trivia[]
- He was initially Near Pure Evil. However, after reconsideration, he was demoted to Inconsistently Heinous when it turned out he was too comedic for NPE status. The had also occurred with Cecil Terwilliger, who was removed for the same reason.
