Panakin Crybaby, better known as Dark Helmet, is the main antagonist of the live-action sci-fi comedy film Spaceballs, which is a spoof of Star Wars.
He serves as the commander of the Spaceballs-One airship who assists President Skroob in his plot to take all the air out of planet Druidia and deliver it into planet Spaceballs, which is running out of air, and uses the method of trying to capture and kidnap Princess Vespa in order to get her father to give up the combination so that they would be able to do so.
He was portrayed by Rick Moranis.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He is shown to torture his soldiers by using his schwartz to painfully twist their penises on occasion as shown when he does this to one of them just for contacting Skroob and giving him the information he needs before Dark Helmet did with the reaction of the soldiers showing that he's done this more than once.
- Upon being notified by Colonel Sanders about Princess Vespa being located, he makes an attempt to kidnap her in a plot to hold her hostage to get the air combination of planet Druidia from her father, King Roland, who is the ruler of the planet only for Lone Starr to escape them by increasing their speed, which causes Dark Helmet to have their ship go at ludicrous speed in an attempt to catch up to them.
- Upon finding out where they are, he disguises himself as an illusion of Vespa's father, King Roland, to lure her out and capture her and then proceeds to hold her hostage to get the air combination of Planet Druidia from her father by threatening to have a surge doctor surgically replace her current new nose with her old deformed one, succeeding at doing so, proceeding to lock her and her robot friend in a cell afterwards.
- He then tells Skroob the combination and as such, helps him make an attempt to suck out all of the air from Planet Druidia by having their soldiers transform their ship into a vacuum cleaning maid called Mega Maid and using the vaccum to do so, which would have gotten everyone on the planet killed from asphyxiation.
- When Lone Starr causes the vacuum cleaner to reverse to blow the air back into the planet and attempts to hit the ship's self-destruct button to blow the ship up, Dark Helmet makes an attempt to kill him only for Lone Starr to outsmart him by reflecting one of his laser blasts onto himself, pushing him onto the self-destruct button himself.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Due to being a clear parody of Darth Vader, he is played for laughs too much to the point of where he can't be PE or NPE.
- He is a bit of an extremist as his objective in the end was to help save planet Spaceballs since it was running out of air even if the solution chosen was extreme.
