Daniel "Dan" Mandel is the primary villainous protagonist in the 2011 animated series Dan Vs.
He was voiced by Curtis Armstrong.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- In general, he gets revenge on people for often petty reasons. While sometimes his anger is justified, other times he just goes after people for no reason at all.
- He’s a bad friend to Chris, regularly getting him injured, and mooching off of him. It’s also said that he bullied Chris in school.
- In “Canada”, he floods the entire country of Canada by destroying a glacier, burying the entire country in snow.
- In “The Animal Shelter”, he plans on poisoning the animals in the shelter with tainted meatloaf, and his dialogue implies that he also plans on poisoning the owner. He accidentally poisons Chris instead, and spends the entire episode carting around his poisoned body. He also plans to blow up the animal shelter, but decides against it and sets the animals free instead.
- In “Anger Management”, he breaks into a military base and attempts to start World War 3 with nuclear missiles, just to get rid of a squirrel family, only stopped by Elise.
- He tried to get Elise's parents falsely arrested for being mafia members.
- He harassed his neighbors, even though they were nice to him, because he (falsely) thought they were cannibals.
- He tried to kill a mall Santa with sharpened candy canes.
- He got Chris sent to a Siberian prison for winning a contest.
- He became a supervillain called "Dr. Jerk" to get revenge on the superhero Terri-guy for accidentally destroying his car. He took several people hostage at fireworks factory to get his revenge, and planned to use the fireworks to destroy several buildings.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He’s on and off, since not everything he does is villainous, and he has done nice things for people. Sometimes, he fights against worst people, and does good things for others.
- He’s played for laughs, since the show is a comedy.
- Despite treating them badly, he does genuinely care for Chris and Elise, and has even saved their lives.
- He loves his cat Mr. Mumbles, and treats her well.
