Cthulhu is the main antagonist of the one-shot comic Godzilla vs. Cthulhu: A Death May Die Story by CMON Games that is an ties-in for their Cthulhu: Death May Die game and their crossover with Toho's Godzilla series.

His Ranking[]

Debated Validations[]

  • It is unknown if the marine life animals he drained their lifeforce out of and killed are sapient or not when he woke up to feed off of from them to gain strength.

In General[]

  • Since is the only major kaiju antagonist in the one-shot comic, meaning he doesn't need to compete with other Kaiju such as King Ghidorah so he easily passes the comic's heinous standard with ease.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • He attempted to destroy Boston after his Nightmare Children offer it as a sacrifice.
  • During his destructive rampage he killed many people with his electrical powers and tentacles which is shown on panel as his tentacles grab people.
  • He deployed monsters to destroy human planes when they attempted to drop bombs on him and helped him out in his destructive rampage.
  • When Godzilla arrived and thrown a boat at his face, he changed his focus in his attempt to brutally kill the monster king by brutally shocking him and torture him with illusions of various other kaiju
  • His defeat by Godzilla was played for satisfaction and has no redeeming qualities.
  • If not for Godzilla, Cthulhu would have destroyed the rest of the world once he is done with Boston. It isn't fridge-horror since it been a recurring theme in Cthulhu stories, not to mention he is immune to 1920-1930's weaponry and even super weaponry like the Atom Smasher Cannons from X-A Airships as they did little to no damage to him with only Godzilla being only one to seriously injure him.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He suffers an lack of characterization, personality aside from his loyalty of Azathoth, and moral agency thus it essentially makes him an "Generic Doomsday Villain" which is too much of an prevention to be NPE.

Trivia[]

  • He is the second version of Cthulhu to be Inconsistently Heinous after his Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy version.
  • He is the only Godzilla Inconsistently Heinous to originate from a comic book so far.
  • He was originally on the Villainous Benchmark Wiki but was removed twice; First instance for believing he was bog-standard and second when it was believed he suffered too many preventions as an "Generic Doomsday" Villain to be IH before realizing he only suffer from lack of characterization and moral agency thus he was removed from that wiki and later voted in this one later in.
