Chip Micro is the main antagonist of The Loud House episode "Lights, Camera, Nuclear Reaction". He is an alter-ego adopted by his actor, Todd the robot, after filming for Lincoln and Clyde's fanmade David Steele movie featuring him ends who plans to annihilate the city of Royal Woods.
He was voiced by Brian Stepanek, who also voiced the Gorg Commander in Home.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He stole Lisa's nuclear reactor and moved it to a warehouse, planning to use it to annihilate the town of Royal Woods just like his movie counterpart.
- Through the use of his holograms, he framed Flip for stealing the reactor.
- When Lincoln, Clyde, and Lisa discovered that he was responsible for the theft of the nuclear reactor, he hacked into the Steele Mobile and drove it into a lake at Tall Timbers Park to sabotage them.
- He hired some of Lisa's other robots to guard his warehouse and kill any trespassers, making him indirectly responsible for endangering Lincoln, Clyde, and Lisa's lives.
- When Lincoln tried to shut off his Villain Switch, he trapped him, along with Lisa and Clyde, in a net to prevent them from going anywhere, then pulled the switch out of his body while it was still turned on so he would remain in evil mode forever.
- Although destroying cities is not unique within The Loud House, Chip stands out relative to Morag because she tried to destroy a town that's heavily implied to be less populated than Royal Woods, and to Joyce Crandall, as she relies on Fridge Horror due to allotting the citizens of Royal Woods enough time to evacuate the town so she wouldn't have to hurt anybody, despite having more resources than both of them due to having access to an all-powerful nuclear reactor and several robot guards.
- While Ucumu did worse by attempting to destroy Mexico, he has vastly higher resources due to being a god while Chip Micro was just a robot having access to a nuclear reactor.
- He's also the only villain to aim for a high scope while only being in the main series, while the others were in films, if not counting Joyce Crandall who suffered from Fridge Horror.
- While Ucumu did worse by attempting to destroy Mexico, he has vastly higher resources due to being a god while Chip Micro was just a robot having access to a nuclear reactor.
- Despite being forced into becoming a villain by circumstances beyond his control, Todd openly wishes to remain evil after getting his switch turned on, meaning that Chip cannot be a Villain by Proxy.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He has moral agency issues, as Todd is only inclined to act like the character of Chip Micro because of his Villain Switch being turned on. He even feels remorse for his actions after being reverted back to normal.
- His running gag of saying, "You should have seen the look on your face!" before playing a video recording of the moment is comedic enough to detract from his villainy.
- He redeems himself at the end of the episode when his sentimental feelings overcome the effects of the Villain Switch, turning him back to normal and making him regret his most heinous actions, as he frees Lincoln, Clyde, and Lisa and enables the former to terminate the nuclear reactor's countdown, preventing the annihilation of Royal Woods.
Trivia[]
- He is one of two characters from The Loud House to be Inconsistently Heinous, along with Darebot 2.0.
- His in-universe film counterpart is far worse due to completely lacking any mitigating factors that prevent him from being Pure Evil or even Near Pure Evil.
