| ~ Caterpie Leader killing Charmander in Episode 9 |
Caterpie Leader is the main antagonist of Starter Squad. They are the Caterpie's leader and the siblings of Pablo, who was murdered by Charmander and took his head as a hat to give to his friend.
They later killed Charmander and controlled Squirtle to kill the Fearows. They committed genocide against them, but everyone they cared about died. They felt remorse for everything They had done and redeemed themselves by letting Squirtle go.

What’s Makes Them Heinous?[]
- While they started off as a well-intentioned extremist due to wanting to avenge their brother and protect their species from Charmander, this faded away as they became more blood thirsty and was even willing to kill their fellow Caterpie.
- They captured Bulbasaur and Charmander and wanted to kill Charmander and dismember his body parts and wear them to attract mates and keep Bulbasaur alive to eat his bulb, though they was ambushed and Squirtle, then they swore revenge.
- They used Whiskers to kill Charmander, though Whiskers attacked Bubs with poison, and Wiskers poisoned Charmander, and they caught Squirtle.
- They showed Squirtle their gym where they trained their people to become an unstoppable army and used Whiskers to poison sting Squirtle when he asked if they were a boy or a girl.
- When Charmander found their base and killed some of their members to get Squirtle back, they then used Whiskers to kill him and mentioned they tried to kill Squirtle but didn’t do it since Charmander wouldn’t feel anything about Squirtle’s death since he lacks empathy.
- When Charmander said he would kill Whiskers to get back to Squirtle, they let him almost kill Whiskers since they didn’t want to give Squirtle back and made a deal with Squirtle to let Charmander go so they could put him in an Ultra Ball but killed Charmander instead.
- They appears in a flashback where they uses Squirtle to fight a Fearow and says that they believed in him, which makes Squirtle brutally kill the bird by choking him and telling him to keep fighting out of turn and whatever is necessary.
- They used an exhausted Squirtle to attack a Fearow, where he said he would come back for revenge and the bodies of the Fearow and Caterpies who died in the battle that they was responsible for by using Squirtle to fight were shown in the background.
- Even when Leonard questions whether this is winning since he sees death and they responds that they will kill their enemies and future generations will not have the same fear.
- When Leonard told them to look at what they had done and said the sparrows were taking down the Caterpies with them and ensuring their mutual destruction and that the Fearow would rather burn the forest than let them win, they replied that desertion is punishable by death.
- When Leonard tried to leave their team(With him saying he would rather die than to fight for them), they told Whiskers to kill Leonard, but Whiskers refused. So they had Squirtle kill him.
- And after that happened, they said that this is loyalty to them that doing whatever they said like killing without hesitation.
- In the last flashback, they said that Whiskers and everyone they cared about died in the war and the forest burned down, which Leonard told the warned about earlier, but they didn’t care at the time.
- Their actions led to Squirtle having heavy amounts of trauma due to making him into an emotionless slave.
- While they had some comedic moments, they were only at the beginning as they are completely absent in episode 9 and 10, with their worst actions being played for horror.
What Makes Them Inconsistent?[]
- They care about their brother, Pablo, which is the reason they had fallen to villain to avenge him against his killer Charmander.
- They were played for sympathy in the final flashback of Episode 10, as they felt remorse for everything they did after the forest burned down and everyone they cared about died. They asked Squirtle to help them and fix what they did. They realized that Squirtle did everything they asked. They redeemed herself by letting Squirtle go and pitting whoever used the Pokéball to control Squirtle. This is enough to prevent them from being NPE.
