Inconsistently Heinous Wiki
Darth Vader: Now... go, my son. Leave me.
Luke Skywalker: No, you're coming with me. I'll not leave you here, I've got to save you.
Darth Vader: You already... have. You were right. You were right about me. Tell your sister... you were right.
~ Darth Vader's last words to his son and ultimate redemption.
Starscream: Your new battle armor will take things to the next level, my liege! Together we will reunite all Decepticons and once again grind Cybertron under your mighty heel!
Megatron: No!
Starscream: What? Why?
Megatron: ...Because I now know the true meaning of oppression, and have thus lost my taste for inflicting it.
Starscream: Ehe, you've clearly been traumatized, master. A good power down and a stroll around the smelting pit will put you back in touch with your inner warlord.
Megatron: ENOUGH! The Decepticons are no more, and that is final.
~ Megatron's redemption as he abandons the Decepticon cause after being freed from Unicron's control
Rumi: Jinu, No!
Jinu: I'm sorry... for... everything.
Rumi: No... I wanted to set you free.
Jinu: You did... you gave me my soul back, and now... I give it to you.
~ Jinu's last words while sacrificing himself to save Rumi and transferring his soul to the latter, redeeming himself.

Inconsistently Heinous villains who achieved redemption and are no longer evil. They have made up for their heinous crimes the best they are able to and no longer need to be punished for them. It is also a major reason why they can't be Near Pure Evil or Pure Evil.

A subcategory of Inconsistently Heinous villains in this category are Reformed villains, villains who not only redeem themselves, but also shed their villainy (e.g. Dagur the Deranged) and may even qualify as Inconsistently Admirable or Near Pure Good (e.g. Thel 'Vadam, Sarah Kerrigan, Sunset Shimmer and Cedric the Sorcerer). If they were initially fallen, they can't qualify as fallen anymore unless they prefer to stay villainous. Another subcategory is Wholly Reformed, Inconsistently Heinous who are now Pure Good and thus subverted ALL of their villainy and corrupting qualities (e.g. Oliver Grayson, Dave Miller, Cuphead, Mugman, and Japanese G1 Primus.) It takes a LOT of work for a villain who used to commit crimes on the level of Pure Evil to make a turn around and become extremely admirable and incorruptible, but some manage to do it. Some may have a earlier time than most if they had Moral Agency issues like being Brainwashed and Possessed during Villainy since it would make less hurting since they didn't completely do them on their free will thus if they show remorse for their actions and make up for it could make the journey easier (e.g The Collector, Midnight Sparkle and Rudra Nam Ul Nasca).

Their opposites are Fallen Inconsistently Admirables.

Villains who only achieve partial redemption (Front Man, Walter White, Tomura Shigaraki, Bryce Walker, F (Alphabet Lore), Hiro Shishigami, Zaheer, Superfly, Chris D'Amico, Clyde Shelton, John Kramer, Tai Lung, Eren Yeager, and Superman) do not count, as this is for villains who fully redeem themselves.

Do not add Remorseful Inconsistently Heinous villains into this category as they have yet to achieve redemption and Redeemed villains don't need to feel regret over their actions anymore once they've achieved it.

NOTE: Redeemed villains can't be Debased due to how Debased are supposed to be remain unredeemed even if they have several redeeming qualities. No matter how a redeemed villain was corrupted before being redeemed, it's still not qualifying as debased because Redeemed villains will slip back to the positive qualities they lose. However, not all Redeemed villains are debased to begin with as some either never subvert their redeeming qualities or never/hardly had any to begin with but are somehow still forgiven (e.g. Maxime Le Mal).
