Bruno W. Gate, also known as Wario Man, is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Entity 01) of the Five Nights at Wario's series.
He is a man who became jealous of the success of Wario's fast food business and plotted to steal the secret recipe for himself. In the process, he murdered Wario and his friends and escaped, leaving his crimes unknown to the public. Bruno was eventually killed by the spirits themselves and, realizing what he had done and the pain he had caused his victims, began searching for them, hoping to apologize for his actions.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He decided to steal Wario's top-secret hamburger recipe after growing envious of the Wario's Enterprises' success and wealth.
- He broke into the factory, disguised himself as Wario Man, and stole the secret hamburger recipe that had made Wario's so well-known.
- He fatally stabbed Wario in an effort to discover the recipe for the elusive hamburger. This caused Wario to lose consciousness and fall to his death down a flight of stairs, losing two teeth in the process.
- After killing Wario, he followed up by murdering Waluigi and Peach, decapitating Mario and then killing Luigi by hanging him to death, which caused the curse to strike all five of the characters' souls.
- He is indirectly responsible for many events of Five Nights at Wario's, which resulted in Richard McRoy having nightmares, an apocalyptic future where most of the population were killed in the first timeline, Bowser burning down WarioWare, Inc., people being imprisoned and subjected to torture in the Theater, and Entity 01 going on a rampage around the world and killing a lot of people.
- While he isn't as heinous as Entity 01 or Emma it's unfair to compare him to them because he is significantly less powerful and has less resources than they do.
- While the series did start out as a parody, it got much darker starting with the second game, as the idea of Wario and the gang being undead monsters started being played for horror.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- With the sole purpose of curing his ill daughter Eve and keeping her healthy, he is an anti-villain and well-intentioned extremist. Furthermore, it's difficult to hold him responsible for his lack of effort considering that he already knows that obtaining the secret recipe is the only way to heal his daughter Eve.
- Although he killed Wario and his friends, he felt genuinely remorse for his actions. He also admits that he made a mistake in killing them, demonstrating his continued concern for them despite having done so and he ends up apologizing to them which allows their souls to finally be set free.
- He is a villain by proxy because, even though he kills Wario and his friends, he does so because he believes it to be the only way to obtain the funds necessary to care for his daughter Eve, who was sick. As a result, his murders are motivated more by insecurity than by malicious intent.
- He redeemed himself by apologizing for his actions which allowed the souls of his victims to finally ascend to the afterlife.
- He can be considered a scapegoat due to him being tortured by Emma so that she can use his soul as a gateway to the real world, and then being left behind by her and trapped for eternity in the Nothingness which is basically a fate worse than death.
- While he was responsible for Entity 01 being unleashed into the real world due to him selling his sell to him and then using the spell book to perform a ritual that would let him escape Gray City, he only agreed to help him in order to finally cure his daughter so she can live happily, and he also asked Wario and his friends to pardon him for what he had planned to do in a card that he sent to them, and for what he was about to do, telling them that his daughter seeing another tomorrow was all he wished for in his heart.
