Brick Bristol is the main antagonist of the Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil episode "Faceplat!".
He is the host of the reality show Faceplat!, consisting in an obstacle race full of construction-like obstacles and challenges. No one has ever won his show, so perhaps for the sake of more ratings, Brick removes the age restriction of his show to let minors participate on it, leading the aspiring daredevil Kick Buttowski to join the show to prove himself able to win.
He was voiced by Jay Harris.
His Evil Ranking[]
Debated Validations[]
- When trying to coerce Kick Buttowski to accept the surprise prize, he does warn Kick with a concerned face that he should accept the prize and quit because no one has ever won his competition. However, it's possible that this was just a facade to persuade Kick into staying in the competition for ratings, which may be evidenced by his sadistic relish as he foils all of his attempts to beat his challenges.
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- Hosts (and possible creates) Faceplat!, a construction-themed obstacle race reality show based in Mellowbrook, though all his contestants get hurt due to how hard his obstacles are beat, preventing anyone from ever winning the competition's $50,000 prize. While this could count as Fridge Horror, it isn't, as the contestants are shown suffering in the montage whenever they are beaten, with some of the show's sound effects suggesting some broken bones. Not to mention that the obstacles are so dangerous that often left the contestants injured if not killed, by:
- Being crushed by the "Conveyor Slayer" (a rock crusher) while running through a conveyor belt.
- Being thrown with cement by the "Re-Mixer" (a cement mixer) into a box.
- Being knocked away with the "Ball & Chain" (a wrecking ball), either while jumping through some tubes or from some platforms to crash into against a camera.
- Being crushed by two "Hammerheads" (two giant construction hammers).
- Being cut by the "See Saws" (several saw blades).
- This may have also actually killed one of the contestants, as the footage showing the saws has the contestant yell the Wilhelm scream (a known sound effects employed when a character is heavily injured or dies) as he gets cut and Brick himself mentions that the "See Saws" are the farthest someone has ever gotten, hinting that many get hurt there.
- Gets the permission to remove the age restriction to allow any willing minors, such as Kick Buttowski, to compete in his show, potentially endangering children in the process.
- Constantly hurts Kick during his attempts to win Faceplat! by:
- Knocking him with a "Hammerhead" into fresh cement.
- Shaking him with a giant driller until he is violently knocked against the window of Brick's excavator.
- Chasing and flattening him with a steamroller after chasing him in a treadmill-like road.
- Crushing him and knocking him into cement with two "Hammerheads"
- Sawing his clothes with the "See Saws", leaving him in underwear in national television, indirectly committing some kind of sexual abuse.
- Knocking him with the "Ball & Chain" into the "Re-Mixer", forcing Kick's friend Gunther to pick the cement block on Kick later on.
- Implants several booby obstracles and momentarily blinds Kick with green goo once he makes it to the "Loose Screws" (some screw-like moving platforms) thanks to the help of his frenemy Reynaldo just to prevent him from reaching the victory red button.
- Runs into the platform with the victory red button and takes it away from Kick just as Kick manages to beat the race with his senses, announcing his intentions of not letting anyone win his program ever.
- Insults his audience by calling them "losers" and expresses his thoughts that his audience just comes to watch pain and humiliation, proving that he doesn't really care for his show's fans and that he has sadistic tendencies.
- Refuses still to give Kick the red button as he demands to not let him win, though this ends up backfiring as he jumps onto the "Loose Screws" and gets karmically beaten by his own obstacles.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is too comedic for NPE or PE, aside that his actions aren't taken as seriously enough like they could have.
- Offers Kick a surprise prize if he gives up and quits the competition. While unknown in what exactly consists the prize, it's likely a good thing, as no previous contestants seem to have ever retried until Kick joined the show, suggesting that he may be somewhat honorable.
