“ | Well, I'm just shy and scared in this place, I'm just a fish outta water from outer space. You can see that the trip has left me tired and drained, so why don't you be a pal... and bring me some BRAINS!? | „ |
~ The Brain-Eating Meteor "befriending" Billy through a macabre song into feeding it. |
The Brain-Eating Meteor is the titular main antagonist of "Little Rock of Horrors", the first segment of the third episode of Grim & Evil.
It is a meteor-like viscous alien from some part of the galaxy that lands on the Earth so it can satiate its hunger with all the human brains it can get. Upon landing in the city of Endsville, the Brain-Eating Meteor comes across Billy and has him bring it any Endsvillians he can for it to consume.
Its speaking voice was provided by Jeff Bennett, who also voiced Ozzy in The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure, Jacques von Hämsterviel in the Lilo & Stitch franchise and Father in Codename: Kids Next Door. Its singing voice was provided by Aurelio Voltaire.
Its Evil Ranking[]
Debatable Validations[]
- Its act of dressing Billy with the clothes of Mr. McGee could be considered a Pet the Dog moment, as this wasn't really necessary for Billy to attract more victims to it, which may suggest that it actually did see Billy as a friend, but it could have been a way to trick him further as well.
What Makes It Heinous?[]
- Befriends Billy upon landing on the Earth just as Billy was looking for someone to play with him due to none of his friends wanting to hang out with him at that moment, in reality manipulating him into bringing brains to it to consume in order to gain intelligence. It should be noted that before, it tried to consume Billy's brain and the only reason Billy was spared was because he was so stupid and would not get anything from him.
- Sings a song to manipulate Billy into feeding it with all of Endsville's population, whether they are Billy's acquaintances such as his family, his friends or random citizens.
- While singing, it strips Mr. McGee, one of the citizens Billy brought before him, to dress Billy up with his clothes, which is a privacy violation.
- Consumes the brains of all Endsvillians to add their knowledges to its mind, technically killing them in the process and turning them into mindless living zombies to accompany it and Billy during its song.
- Among the many victims it claims, it devours the brain of a cop who gets suspicious by Billy's actions and fruitlessly shoots at it to stop its threat and a baby because the infant's brain was so delectable.
- It also consumes brains through disturbing ways such as sucking out Dingus McDoogan's brain with a drinking straw.
- Persuades Billy into taking his best friend Mandy before it so it could consume her brain in spite of Billy's desire to protect Mandy from it, ironically leading to its downfall when Mandy's evil brain ends up overtaking its body and killing it from the inside, though this leads Mandy to continue with the plans of her new body's former host by demanding more brains to Billy.
- Although one can say that it's just eating to survive as a predator, the Brain-Eating Meteor shows delight at eating the brains, sways Billy into bringing Mr. McGee before it due to his mind "not working" since 1943 and warns Billy through its song to avoid been seen by the authorities, suggesting that it knows that what it's doing is wrong but doesn't care.
- While the franchise's Heinous Standards are high, the Brain-Eating Meteor solely has its singing as its only resource and its brain-eating act on all of Endsville's citizens is a unique crime.
What Makes It Inconsistent?[]
- The Brain-Eating Meteor originates from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, a black comedy show with negative continuity where nothing is taken seriously.
- Because of the show's comedic nature, it has other aspects that prevent him from being presented seriously:
- Its actions are played for black comedy, aside that they aren't as graphic as they could have been.
- It is based off of Audrey II, being a monster from outer space that sings about eating people's brains, clearly making it unable to be PE or NPE.
- It may not have been absolutely evil, as Mandy overtaking its body after it consumes her brain ends up killing it due to Mandy's level of evil proving to be too much for it to digest in Mandy's words, which may be an indicator that it was just a predator eating to survive.
- Additionally, when she overtakes the meteor's body, Mandy asks Billy to bring her some brains to eat, further supporting the idea that the need to eat brains is a natural part of its biology.
Trivia[]
- The Brain-Eating Meteor being based on Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors is very fitting, as Audrey II is likewise Inconsistently Heinous.
- The Brain-Eating Meteor is, alongside Mandy, Jack O'Lantern and Bun Bun, one of the four The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy characters to be Inconsistently Heinous.
