Bogeyman is major antagonist in folklore he is a monstrous child abuser who wants to make children obedient, and has become part of world folklore, in addition to serving as an archetype for several other fictional characters.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He mainly targets naughty children, where he tortures them in horrible ways, even though they are naughty children, it's still very cruel and ruthless.
- Even his most harmless torture methods are still a bit over the top, like biting toes, pulling hair and shaking Beds
- One of his most infamous torture methods is to manifest horrible creatures to frighten and physiologically abuse the children.
- Depending on how naughty they are, he kidnaps children to his shadowy realm.
- In some versions, he devours children out of pure sadism.

- He is an extremist, as he wants to rid families (therefore the world) of all naughty children, despite his brutal methods.
- He has a sense of honor as he spares the lives of well-behaved children.

- He, along with the Grim Reaper, share the fact that they are not only the second oldest Inconsistently Heinous characters in media (the first one being Demeter) but also the only folklore villains (so far) to be considered Inconsistently Heinous.
