~ Blitzo's furious breakdown towards Stolas when he ends the deal. |
Blitzo Buckzo, also known as Blitzø, is the main protagonist of the animated black comedy series Helluva Boss, a spinoff to Hazbin Hotel and a part of the Hellaverse.
He is the founding leader of the I.M.P. who is responsible for killing hundreds of humans on Earth to collect money. He is also the adoptive father of Loona, the best friend of Fizzarolli and Millie, and the boyfriend of the exiled Goetic prince, Stolas.
He is voiced by Brandon Rogers.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
In General[]
- Despite the incredibly high heinous standards of the Hellaverse, Blitz manages to stand out due to having a kill count up to hundreds while being less powerful compared to many villains such as Alastor and Adam and having less resources since while he has Stolas' Grimoire (formerly), the Asmodean Crystal (currently) and I.M.P., from which he has garnered some wealth, he still lacks angelic abilities or an army like Adam, the massive power Alastor possesses, or a high status, being just an imp, which is one of Hell's lowest-ranked species. He also has personal villainy to Verosika and his other exes due to breaking their hearts.
- On several occasions, he stalks Moxxie and Millie and even threatens to rape them if they mess up with the missions.
- Seduces Stolas on several occasions so he can keep his Grimoire to have access to Earth despite him ultimately allowing Blitz to do so.
- He is the founder of I.M.P., making him and his employees responsible for hundreds of deaths that occurred on Earth for the sake of fame and money.
Background[]
- As a child, under the orders of Cash, he stole several valuable items inside the Goetia palace and handed them to him to support his mother.
- Prior to founding I.M.P., he dated several people only go break their hearts, including Verosika Mayday, who threw Anti-Blitzo parties every year to gather people who have hatred towards Blitz.
- After getting arrested for an undisclosed crime, he works with Moxxie to escape the prison and recruits him as a member of I.M.P.
- After a short encounter with her inside the bar, he recruits Millie into I.M.P. upon seeing her potential, which makes him responsible for most of her crimes.
Season 1[]
- He shows his employees an I.M.P. commercial, involving the murders of several people.
- During the montage, Blitz, along with his employees, kill several people for their enjoyment.
- He had Moxxie try to shoot a human woman in the head, causing Moxxie to accidentally shoot her son Eddie instead.
- He kills Eddie by shooting him in the chest before he and his employees chop him into pieces and carry his remains to a sack.
- He had Moxxie try to kill Martha using a sniper rifle despite lacking proof that she was that awful of a person and not caring about traumatizing or, in his own words, ruining her family, and would've succeeded if he hadn't missed the shot.
- Kills several of the demons who try to assassinate Stolas while inside the Loo Loo Land.
- Attempts to kill Robo Fizz twice although to be fair, he attacked him first.
- Formulates a plan to have money from many clients as possible by murdering dozens of humans and transporting their bodies to a boat in an attempt to outwit Verosika Mayday, all because he wanted to keep a parking spot.
- To outwit Verosika and her audience, he has Loona use her human disguise in order to seduce humans into an area where he, Moxxie and Millie could finish them off.
- Upon arriving at Los Angeles, he and I.M.P. murder 9 humans and carry their remains to bags.
- After getting infuriated at Verosika's efforts, he splits a human's head in half with an axe.
- Kills another human just because he cheered for the fish's death.
- After receiving a contract from Loopty Goopty to kill Lyle Lipton, rather than simply shoot Lyle quickly or damage his life support, Blitzø and the I.M.P. instead attempted to sadistically and cruelly encourage Lyle Lipton to commit suicide by forcing him to watch the horrors of Earth.
- After the C.H,E.R.U.B accidentally kill Lyle Lipton are are kicked out of Heaven, Blitzø feels no remorse despite being just as responsible.
- He, along with the I.M.P., brutally murder several of the D.H.O.R.K.S. agents deployed by One after he and Moxxie are rescued by Millie and Loona.
- He, Moxxie and Millie killed dozens of lumberjacks at the beginning of "Ozzie's."
Season 2[]
- In "Seeing Stars," as the actors try to touch a dog Blitz is holding, he kills them when they tried to do so and the audience as well.
- Coerces a man into opening a portal to the human world so he can find his sister.
- Pins his sister down so he can allow Moxxie to kill Counselor Jimmy.
- Uses a knife under the foot and moves a cage to take several of Crimson's goons down to free himself and Fizz.
- Kills another round of Crimson's goons who went after him and Fizz.
- When Stolas retrieves the Grimoire, Blitzo tries to seduce him so he can get it back.
- When Stolas explains his feelings, Blitzo interprets it as roleplay, and when this causes Stolas to end their deal, Blitzo snaps at him and rants about how all royals treat the lower class as unimportant, causing Stolas to cry over how little Blitzo thought of him and teleport him out of the mansion.
- For the next few weeks afterwards, Blitzo then tried to rekindle a sexual relationship with Stolas, still refusing to accept Stolas' feelings for him.
- When Stolas chews him out for not apologizing, he goes on an apology tour just to prove Stolas wrong. His so-called apologies to Martha, many of his exes, and others are completely hollow, consisting solely of gift baskets, with him even refusing to fully apologize to the Cherubs, giving them an insulting note (though this is played for satisfaction), and showing no remorse for insulting someone's sister.
- Kills Rolando by dropping a vacuum cleaner into the pool, electrocuting him to death even though he deserved it for trapping Blitz inside a fate worse than death and tormenting him with his traumatic memories.
- After returning to the I.M.P. Headquarters, upon refusing to kill a family of two daughters and fathers, Blitz throws the Karen Client out of the window and feels great afterwards (though she deserved it).
Helluva Shorts[]
- In "Mission: Antarctica," he and Moxxie kill a leopard seal before the former used his sniper rifle to kill a penguin.
- In "Mission: Weeaboo-Boo," he attempts to kill Emberlynn multiple times, despite acknowledging that she had a hit put on her for a petty reason, and encourages her to take her pendant off, which she does before murdering her with his knife.
- In "Mission: Chupacabra," he, along with the I.M.P., murdered several of the goats and take joy in it. After getting imprisoned inside a cage, Blitz helps a black goat to break him free and upon getting freed, caused the goats to go on a havoc and Agents One and Two are nearly killed after dropping a banner onto them.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is way too comedic to be NPE since all of his actions are played for black comedy and he isn't taken seriously.
- In fact, he's more serious when not committing crimes, as that's when he shows his vulnerable and sympathetic side, whereas he is mostly, if not entirely played for laughs when killing.
- He is genuinely way too tragic, sympathetic and insecure to be NPE, let alone PE for multiple reasons:
- Being a low-ranking imp, he was very poor and looked down on by many others.
- He was forced to work inside the circus and abused as a child by his greedy father, who exploited him for his own profit. He also has his spotlight stolen by his close friend, Fizzarolli, who his own father favored over him simply for his popularity, thanks to his father's exploitative, greedy nature.
- He had romantic feelings for Fizzarolli, and was about to give him a love letter before seeing his father give Fizz a card that read "wish you were my son", understandably causing Blitzo to storm off.
- He then accidentally knocked over a cake, causing a circus fire which scarred him, killed his mother and severely injured Fizzarolli. Not only that, his father blamed him for the incident, stopping him seeing Fizz in the hospital. His relationship with his twin sister was strained thanks to the circus fire too.
- Him getting trapped inside a fate worse than death by Rolando of watching the above accident is played for sympathy as Blitz is forced to watch his traumatic memories all over again.
- Thanks to his tragedy, he suffers from severe insecurities as he wants to be respected and loved due to his inferiority complex. He also suffers from abandonment issues as he is shown crying that he would die alone at the end of "Queen Bee."
- Even some of his bad actions, such as ranting at and trying to seduce Stolas, are played for sympathy due to his self-hatred, as he is so insecure and self-loathing that he truly sees himself as unlovable after losing his first love in Fizzarolli and his mother, yet craves love at the same time.
- He's also insecure about his low status, being partially motivated to found his business in order to prove that imps can work for themselves, to the point of snapping at the Seven Deadly Sins and Goetias in "Mastermind" that all he was trying to do was rise above the place he was forced into (which also makes him an anti-villain).
- He cares for many people:
- He genuinely cares for Loona, as he adopted her inside the hellhound adoption center and raised her as his own daughter. He also refused to let the actors touch a dog that reminded him of Loona and killed them when they tried to do so.
- He is protective of Moxxie, as he wass concerned when Verosika and her succubae sexually assaulted him and stood up for him by calling them out for it. He also saved him from getting forcefully married to Chazwick Thurman by Crimson.
- He sees Millie as his close friend as he gave her everything she had after hiring her as a member of the I.M.P. and worked with her to take down Rolando in "Ghostf**kers."
- He genuinely loves his boyfriend, Stolas, as he spent time with him during childhood and protected him on several occasions. He also took good care of him after losing his royalty and powers to Satan and comforted him when Octavia left him for Andrealphus and Stella.
- He cares for his close friend, Fizzarolli, as he spent time with him and was in love with him, having been about to give him a love letter before the fire, during childhood and stopped Burnie Burnz from stalking him. Even after Fizz blamed him for causing the circus fire, Blitzø made amends with him and even saved his life twice.
- He tries to reason his twin sister, Barbie Wire, to reconcile with him and gets upset after she left him. He later reveals to Stolas that he was very close to his sister and misses her every day.
- He cares for his late mother Tilla, as he agreed to rob the Goetias mainly to help her, and kept her skull charm after her death in the circus fire, which he still cries over, as shown by him weeping at a picture of her. It's also made clear in "Oops" that her death still affects him in the present, and when he gets turned back to a teenager by Rolando's illusions and sees his mother, he hugs her, apologizes for accidentally causing the fire, and is in tears when he sees her body burn to nothing except her eye.
- He is shown to care for Stolas' daughter Octavia, as he is reminded of her as well as Stolas and Loona when looking at the family of two daughters and two fathers on Earth, implying he sees her as a daughter figure and would love to have her as part of his family.
- Despite their relationship being complicated, he feels deep remorse for how he treated Verosika, as he apologized to her for breaking her heart even when she doesn't forgive him. He also reveals his hidden remorse for breaking Stolas' and his other exes' hearts as well.
- He is On & Off, as he has done several heroic deeds such as stopping Striker from assassinating Stolas and saving Moxxie from getting forcefully married to Chaz by Crimson. He also risked his life to save Fizzarolli, worked with Millie to take Rolando down and stopped Andrealphus from killing Stolas.
- He has standards, as he calls Verosika Mayday and her fellow succubae out for sexually assaulting Moxxie, and dislikes abusers like Mammon and Crimson, even likening Moxxie's daddy issues to his own. He also thought that assassinating someone over an internet feud was excessive in "Mission: Weeaboo-Boo", and is implied to dislike the Karen Client's homophobia after seeing how happy her husband was with his new husband.
- He has a Pet the Dog moment where he refuses to kill the aforementioned ex-husband of the Karen Client, his husband, and his daughters after they reminded him of Loona, Stolas and Octavia, then stops Millie from killing them on her own, showing development from when he was willing to ruin a seemingly happy family in "Murder Family", he also has one in "Mission: Chupacabra" where he thanks a goat for helping him and gives him a sticker, making him an associate for his company.
- Overall, he is bettering himself bit by bit, to the point of being arguably on his way to redemption.
Trivia[]
- He, along with Stolas (Pilot version), Millie and Sera are the four Hellaverse villains to be Inconsistently Heinous.
