Ellis Abaigeal "Elly" Kedward, better known as the Blair Witch, is the main antagnist of the Blair Witch franchise, appearing in all three movies (albeit a fictional depiction in one) and several spin off media as the main antagonist. After having been executed, Elly turned to revenge, killing anybody who wished to enter into her domain.

• She could be considered tragic, as she was executed brutally before returning from the dead. However, at least one source stated she was evil before this. Since that source is considered vaguely true both in-universe and out, it couldn't be confirmed whether or not this tragedy holds up.

What Makes Her Heinous?

Before The Blair Witch Project

• She made everyone who accused her of being a witch "disappear".
• During a picnic, she dragged away and killed a young girl named Eileen Treacle.
• She infected the lake with a black oily substance which killed several cows.
• She attempted to kidnap and murder another young girl named Robin Weaver.
• She brutally tortured and disemboweled a search party before killing them.
• She convinced Rustin Parr to murder 8 children in the same brutal way as the aforementioned search party.

The Blair Witch Project

• She tormented Heather Donahue, Michael Williams and Joshua Leonard, eventually:
  • Stranding them in the woods.
  • Gutting and killing Josh.
  • Leading Heather and Mike to Rustin Parr’s supposedly destroyed house before killing them both

Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2

What Makes Her Inconsistent?

• The Blair Witch lacks the characterization necessary to be considered PE or even at least NPE because the film’s horror is built entirely around the principle of never showing the monster. This approach, while effective for creating suspense and fear, also leaves the entity devoid of any distinct personality, motives, or defining traits beyond its status as an unseen threat. As a result, the Blair Witch functions more as a Generic Doomsday Villain rather than a uniquely developed antagonist.
