“ | Do you find me sadistic? Y'know, I bet I could... fry an egg on your head right now, if I wanted to. Y'know, Kiddo, I'd like to believe that you're aware enough, even now, to know that there's... nothing sadistic in my actions. Maybe, towards those jokers... but not you. No, Kiddo, at this moment, this is me... at my most... masochistic. | „ |
~ Bill |
Bill is the titular main antagonist of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill film series.
He was portrayed by the late David Carradine.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He was the leader of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, making him responsible for any murders that the group committed.
- When Beatrix fakes her death after Bill gets her pregnant, he tracks her down and learns that she is alive and marrying another man, so he leads the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad in massacring everyone at Beatrix's wedding at Two Pines.
- After Beatrix is beat to the ground, he shoots her in the head, despite her being pregnant, and steals her unborn child from her.
- After Beatrix unites with Bill and their daughter and they have dinner, Bill tries to kill Beatrix one last time.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He has a sympathetic origin story, as both he and his brother were orphans that were taken in by a pimp named Esteban Vihaio who is shown to be extremely cruel and friendly at the same time, showing where Bill got his mannerisms and disturbed worldview from.
- He really did love Beatrix and spent months hunting down the people that he thought killed her. While he does shoot her, he feels regret afterwards and tells Elle Driver not to kill Beatrix while she is in her coma, showing he did come to regret what he did to her even if he didn't regret the massacre as a whole.
- He truly did love his brother Budd, and Bill actually went out of his way to warn Budd about Beatrix after she began going on her quest for revenge, something he didn't do for the other Vipers.
- He raised B.B. after Beatrix gave birth to her while she was in her coma and genuinely loved her, even admitting to B.B. that he truly regretted shooting Beatrix and that he wished that he could undo it.
- He has some level of standards and honor, stating that while he is an assassin he would never kill someone in their sleep when they cannot fight back.
- His death is played for sympathy, with him telling Beatrix in his final moments that she is the love of his life, but that she can be very annoying to him sometimes, which even makes her laugh. After he dies, even Beatrix breaks down into tears, showing that they did once love each other and that this entire conflict was an avoidable tragedy.
