Eight seconds to track her voice here. Hmph, I expected you in six.
~ Batman taunting Superman on rescuing Wonder Woman.
What I've wanted since I was a child. To destroy you. To break and utterly humiliate the great Superman. For all your powers, you've always underestimated the greatest weapon of all... The human mind.
~ Batman when Superman questions his motives.
You and Comrade Stalin may have different methods, but you're both variations on the same tiresome theme. Narcissistic, power-hungry egomaniacs bent on reshaping the world in their own grotesque image. But in the end, all men like you inevitably fall. And there you will stay for the remainder of your wretched life, while my followers rise up and finally take our country back.
~ Batman in response to Superman's claims that he gave the survivors of the gulags paradise.

Batman is a survivor of Josef Stalin's secret gulag who grows up to become a ruthless anarchist with a grudge against Superman, blaming him for the deaths of his parents and acting as a major antagonist of the film Superman: Red Son.

He is voiced by Roger Craig Smith, who also voiced a younger, heroic Batman in Batman: Arkham Origins as well as the Batman Unlimited series.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • He committed acts of mass terror against the Soviet Union, causing property damage and endangering innocent lives.
  • He destroyed a museum filled with innocent people, even lying to the visitors that they had time to evacuate before the bomb detonated.
  • He attacked the police when they tried to bring him in, tossing an officer from a helicopter to his death.
  • He lit his insignia in flames and kidnapped Wonder Woman to draw out Superman.
  • He bound Wonder Woman in her own lasso and ordered her to kill herself should Superman harm him in any way.
  • He exposed Superman to the red sun lamps provided to him by Lex Luthor before beating him to a pulp.
  • He locked Superman in a cellar to live out the rest of his life without his powers while he would usurp his reign over the Union.
  • While he has less screen-time and resources than other villains like Josef Stalin, Luthor, and Brainiac, he meets the Heinousness Standard due to his acts of terrorism and sadism.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He is a tragic villain who has a legitimate reason to be disdainful towards Superman, as his parents were killed while the Man of Steel did nothing to save them.
  • While he is a terrorist, he is distasteful towards totalitarian dictators including Superman and the late Stalin.
  • He is appalled that Superman would lobotomize dissidents to his rule and commits suicide to avoid that fate.
