Baljeet Tjinder is a major character in the Disney Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb.
He is a young Indian boy and a close friend to both Phineas and Ferb, often helping them set up their wacky inventions. Though usually a heroic character, he takes on a villainous role as the main antagonist of the episode "Cranius Maximus", in which after he gains hyper intelligence, he plots to take away the Earth's atmosphere so he can see the moon clearer, despite how said goal will endanger all life on Earth.
He was voiced by Maulik Pancholy.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- In the episode "Cranius Maximus", he attempted to take the Earth's atmosphere and place it on the moon, saying that "science marches on" when Phineas pointed out to him that this will cause everyone on Earth to not be able to breathe anymore, meaning he knew it would end all life on Earth but didn't care.
- In "Mission Marvel", he rampaged throughout the city after gaining The Hulk's powers.
- It's worth pointing out that his moral agency isn't completely subverted when he gained the Hulk's powers, as he willingly saved Iron Man and helped the Avengers defeat Red Skull and his allies at the end of the episode.
- In “Primal Perry”, he attempts to attack Buford. Although the worst thing they do is toss him up and down, they were willing to harm him. To be fair, Buford bullied him for a long time.
- Overall, he trumps most villains in the series as he is willing to endanger billions of lives with no remorse.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He gets redeemed by the end of "Cranius Maximus". In most episodes, he simply just helps Phineas and Ferb with their projects, even being willing to help them save the world on a few occasions such as in "Mission Marvel" and in "Phineas and Ferb Save Summer".
- Even during his moments of villainy, he is too comedic to qualify for Near Pure Evil, exclaiming "Science lives on!" neurotically when Phineas tries to talk him out of his plan and remarking how good it feels to have his brain deflate. Even his defeat is played for laughs as when Buford takes off his helmet, his brain grows in size with Buford comedically remarking how disgusting it is, and he gets scared of how Buford made a wedgie machine.
- He genuinely cares for his friends, remaining polite to them even during his villainous roles.
- He has massive moral agency issues, as he did his worst act of endangering the world while wearing a hat that made him smarter, and he stopped trying to endanger the world after the hat was removed as it influenced his mind and behavior.
