| ~ Anti-Pops. |
Malum Kranus, also known as Anti-Pops, is the main antagonist of the Cartoon Network animated TV series Regular Show, specifically season 8.
He is the evil younger twin brother and evil counterpart of Pops Maellard, and is a godlike embodiment of evil, who is so powerful that he is capable of destroying the universe. He wants to kill his older twin brother Pops and reduce the entire universe to a white void to make it in his eyes "better" . He is the strongest and most powerful villain in the Regular Show series as well as the cause of most of the chain of events in recent seasons.
He was voiced by Robert Englund.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- Has battled Pops countless times in the past, with every battle ending with them destroying and resetting the universe.
- He sends a nightmare alien to psychologically torment Pops into giving up his location.
- He kills a space store clerk for taking too long to give his soldier his change.
- He attacks the space tree and even tries killing everyone there.
- He constantly tries to get Pops (his own brother) killed through various means like hiring Bounty Hunters and more hands on methods.
- He ran into a space dear, while this was an accident he didn't show remorse for it and even through a tantrum saying that's why he wants to destroy the universe when it was his rushing that got him hit.
- He tricks Pops into meeting him at a space arcade by taking advantage of his brotherly love for him and then tries to kill him but only manages to fatally injure him.
- He then erases the arcade and everyone in it.
- The arcade was fully packed by the way.
- He erases Pops' trainer (and at that time friend) Earl from existence.
- He is the only character in Regular Show to permanently kill off a major character.
- He erases almost everyone from existence except Mordecai, Rigby, and Pops.
- He sadistically erased each of Pops' friends from existence while making him watch.
- He was particularly mocking towards Muscle Man while erasing him.
- He has accidentally destroyed some planets during his battles with Pops, including Lolliland.
- Whether he meant to destroy those planets or not doesn't matter as he was going to destroy the entire Universe anyway.
- He ends up nearly erasing the entire universe and even ends up erasing he's own henchmen who were completely loyal to him.
- Overall, he stands out as one of the most heinous villains in the entire series, with his nigh-omnicide and personal villainy towards his own brother Pops, only being surpassed by the much more heinous Future Mr. Ross.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- The biggest reason he cannot be NPE or PE is that he is too remorseful as he ends up regretting his actions so much to the point where he wants to change and wishes that he could take his actions back.
- He ends up showing care for his brother Pops in his final moments, as he embraces him with a smile and redeems himself, which proves he’s honorable.
Trivia[]
- In The Ice Tape, a footage says Anti-Pops is filled with Pure Evil, which could mean he's canonically Pure Evil even though he is to inconsistent to be Pure Evil as he has few comedic moments, showing remorse and redeeming himself with a smile.
