~ Red's villainous breakdown in the 2019 Netflix movie as he comands The Irken Armada to destroy earth just to get rid of Zim once and for all. |
The Almighty Tallest Red and Purple are the secondary antagonists of the 2001-2006 television series Invader Zim and the overarching antagonists of the 2019 Netflix film Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus.
They are the leaders of the Irken Empire that are chosen for their height. However, in truth, they are really figureheads for the Control Brains, who are the actual leaders of the Empire.
Red was voiced by Wally Wingert while Purple was voiced by Kevin McDonald.
Their Evil Ranking[]
Debated Validations[]
- While the episode "The Trial" would have shown that the Tallests are mere figureheads and beings called the Control Brains are the true leaders of the Irken Empire, since the episode was unmade, there is nothing to confirm or deny this as canon. Even if it was, the Tallests would still stand out for their attempt to destroy Earth.
- In the episode "Invasion of the Idiot Dog Brain", they are happy to see a mother take her son out of Zim's house, with Purple saying it was good to have a happy ending. However, it is also likely that they are happy that the mother and son don't realize that they are aliens and don't care about it, especially since they are willing to destroy the Earth and kill all of humanity just to get rid of Zim
What Makes Them Heinous?[]
- They conquered several planets, enslaving their native species.
- The constantly mistreat the other Irkens, paying them very little and belittling short Irkens for their height.
- Since they sent Zim to Earth, they are directly responsible for his crimes. These include but not limited to:
- Ripping out Keef's eyes and then replacing them with robotic ones
- Killing all the germs in the world despite knowing their sapience
- Stealing organs from others to appear more human
- Floding the whole town after being hit by a water balloon by Dib
- Brainwashing his classmates into doing what he wants, later leaving a huge mess and blaming Dib for it
- Sending rubber piggies into the past to kill Dib
- Nearly crashing Mars onto Earth
- Creating a bomb that nearly destroyed the town and could've killed thousands
- Kidnapping a child named Nick, implanting a device on his head making him uncontrollably happy while making him eat waffles with peanuts and soap in them
- Creating a santa suit to gain people's trust
- Teleporting Earth in the path of the Irken Armada and creating the Florpus in the process
- And nearly destroying said planet in the Florpus while realities distort and collide with eachother.
- While Zim did destroy an Irken city, the Tallests seem to care more about the damage he could cause to their empire rather than the safety of the other Irkens.
- They tried to kill Skoodge after he conquered the home of the Slaughtering Rat People, presumably to deter any ideas about short invaders being just as competent as tall ones.
- They tried to kill Zim by sending an army of defective SIR units to his base.
- When the communications officer notify's them that the Florpus and Earth appeared in their path (thanks to Zim teleporting Earth directly in their path via Minimoose), they were more concerned about Earth, due to Zim being there instead of showing concern over the Florpus, while acting very immature and childish.
- In their most evil act, they tried to blow up the Earth just to get rid of Zim.
- They kept dismissing the communications officer's warnings about the Florpus and arrogantly refuse to steer around Earth even though it was the most logical thing to do in that situation, which leads to their undoing in the end.
What Makes Them Inconsistent?[]
- They are too comical to be NPE or PE, with their childish moments and anger at Zim being played for laughs, and having moments like playing with puppets, Purple getting hit by lasers and questioning Zim about the humans, even though they are tall, are still "stupids".
- They do care for each other.
- They seem to have some respect for taller Irkens, as they reassigned Invader Larb from planet Blorch, the home of the slaughtering rat people, to planet Vort, the home of the universes most comfortable couch, due to his increase in height.
- Purple is also shown to respect Invader Jim in the film Florpus, calling him great for delivering donuts to them.
Trivia[]
- They and Zim are so far the only Invader Zim villains to be Inconsistently Heinous
