The All-Devouring Narwhal is the main antagonist of the Fontaine Archon Quest in Genshin Impact.
Before the events of the game, the Narwhal arrived in Teyvat to consume its Primordial Seawater to gain more power. After consuming the Primordial Sea's energy, the Narwhal sets its sights onto Fontaine to consume its inhabitants.

What Makes It Heinous?[]
- After being awoken, the Narwhal arrived in Teyvat to consume the Primordial Sea's energy to gain more power, causing the rising sea levels in Fontaine.
- It was indirectly responsible for the earthquake in Poisson by causing the rising sea levels, resulting in 12 people being killed by the Primordial Seawater flowing into Poisson.
- At the end of Furina's trial, it creates a portal in the middle of the Opera Epiclese and attempts to consume the people of Fontaine due to the Primordial Seawater in their blood before being stopped by Tartaglia and Neuvillette.
- The aftermath of the Narwhal's defeat caused Primordial Seawater to flood the entirety of Fontaine. If if were not for an empowered Neuvillette converting the Fontainians into "true humans", the Primordial Seawater would have dissolved everybody in Fontaine.
- Despite its lack of screentime, stands out due to it being responsible for the main events in the Fontaine Archon Quest.
- While Skrit say it is Surtalogi's pet, noting suggest he intentionally send it to destroy Fontaine. If anything, it's more likely that he send Skrit to take it back.
- Since it was not born in Teyvat, its kill count could be even higher if it consumes energy from multiple worlds while traveling through the Sea of Stars/Sea of Quanta before it became Surtalogi's pet.
What Makes It Inconsistent?[]
- The Narwhal has no characterization and personality, making it a Generic Doomsday Villain.
- Since the prophecy is written by Celestia to happened no matter what, the Narwhal might in not be fully control of its actions, meaning that the Primordial Seawater level might rise even without the Narwhal's intervention as anything Celestial prophesied would be written in Irminsul.
