What hope do we have when "heroes" like you are throwing your weight around like this? It's not always going to be this way, though.
~ Aiden describing his jealousy.
Just DIE ALREADY!
~ Aiden's villainous breakdown before trying to kill Jesse.

Aiden is a supporting antagonist in Season One of Minecraft: Story Mode, appearing as a minor antagonist of the first episode The Order of the Stone, and the main antagonist of the fifth episode Order Up!.

He is one of the former members of The Ocelots, a team of builders rival to Jesse's Gang in the first few episodes and eventually became the leader of the Blaze Rods.

He was voiced by Matthew Mercer.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • When he saw Jesse's build, he broke a block that was holding back lava out of spite, causing Reuben to catch on fire and, depending on your choices, destroy Jesse's build on fire as well.
    • He showed no remorse over what happened to Reuben, even mocking Jesse about it.
  • While he helped Jesse and their friends defeat the Wither Storm, he only did this to be praised, and when Jesse and their friends became famous for it while he didn't, he developed an extremely petty grudge against them, wishing he was the one who became famous instead.
  • When he and his gang found Sky City after stealing the enchanted flint and steel from Jesse, he lied to the Founder that Jesse was evil, causing Jesse and their friends to be arrested.
  • He stole the Eversource after revealing that he lied about Jesse being evil, before proceeding to push the Founder and Jesse off the edge of Sky City with the intent to kill them.
    • If you go to help the Founder instead of helping Lukas, he pushed Lukas off the edge too, being willing to kill one of his former friends.
  • He used the Eversource to destroy Sky City by spawning a bunch of monsters, not caring about endangering the lives of any citizens there.
  • When Reginald called him out for supposedly killing the founder, he threatened to kill him too if he didn't shut up.
  • When Reginald was happy to see Jesse again, Aiden summoned a Blaze to attack the former and nearly killed Reginald simply for celebrating his reunion with Jesse.
  • He dueled Jesse to the death just to avoid punishment, where if you send Aiden over, he will express no remorse for his crimes, and if you leave Aiden behind, he will try to kill Jesse before being sent over the edge and will express no remorse over his crimes.
  • Even though he physically hurt lots of people, including Lukas if Jesse helps the Founder instead of backing him up, Gill, and numerous citizens of Sky City via spawn eggs, he still hypocritically begged Jesse for mercy after his defeat, showing he is a coward.
  • He shows no care for his own minions Maya and Gill, as he only sees them as extensions of himself and repeatedly tells Gill to "shut up", with Lukas even commenting that Aiden pushes them around.
  • While he has comedic moments in episode one, such as saying that Reuben should not be allowed at Endercon due to being "food" and asking what was Ellegaard's favorite food at Endercon, he gets darker in episode five and gets rid of these moments with him destroying Sky City being taken completely seriously.
  • Despite the high Heinous Standard of Minecraft: Story Mode, Aiden still stands out due to having lower resources and making a serious attempt to commit populicide.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • If you take Aiden away instead of sending him over or leaving him behind, he will express too much remorse over his crimes to be Near Pure Evil, even saying that he wants to improve himself and even become a writer.
    • This is slightly elaborated upon in Season 2, as if Jesse stays in Beacontown at the end of the game, Radar mentioned that Aiden sent them a letter saying he wishes to redeem himself, meaning this remorse is not even player-determined.

Trivia[]

  • He is one of three Minecraft: Story Mode villains to be Inconsistently Heinous, alongside the Wither Storm and Romeo.
  • It is possible he was intended to have a redemption in the first half of Season 1 as he was seen helping the fight against the Wither Storm with fireworks. However, since he is later shown to be spiteful and envious, it seems he only did this to be praised.
