Adolf Hitler is a minor character in the adult-animated sitcom Family Guy. He is a parody of the real-life dictator of Germany with the same name who occasionally makes brief appearances in the show via cutaways, flashbacks or time travel episodes.
In "8 Simple Rules for Buying My Teenage Daughter", he was voiced by series creator Seth MacFarlane, who also voices other characters in the series, including Peter Griffin, Glenn Quagmire, Darth Stewie and Carter Pewterschmidt (alongside his Emperor counterpart), as well as Stan Smith and Roger Smith from American Dad. In "Untitled Griffin Family History", however, he was voiced by John Viener.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He developed a hatred for a Jew because he was doing better than him at gym, possibly being the reason he developed a discriminatory hatred towards them.
- He commited the same crimes as his real-life counterpart by oppressing Jews, starting the invasion of Poland while killing several citizens (with Brian, Stewie and Mort trapped in the battlegrounds when using Stewie's Time Machine), being a major cause of World War II.
- He orders his guards to capture Stewie, Brian and Mort when they break into his uranium lab.
- He began the Holocaust and killed 11 million people (6 million Jews) from it.
- While the effects of the Holocaust are usually only occasionally shown in brief cutawatays, it is focused on when it is shown how Herbert the Pervert was shown to be a victim of Franz Gutentag's camp.
- He refused to be punished for his crimes and committed suicide alongside his wife.
- His inspiration still lasts in the present as groups of Nazis are often seen in the present, such as when Quahog becomes lawless and a group of them hunt down any Jews they can find. Additionally, Mort is shown to recognize a dummy that Peter dresses up as Hitler and is deeply afraid of it.
- Despite the massive Heinous Standards of the series, he easily stands out with his high body count of 11 million people and having lower resources than Bertram and Penelope due to not having sci-fi tools. While George W. Bush with less resources caused 17 million deaths by starting a civil war which would lead to a bomb destroying the eastern seaboard, it is never confirmed if he was the one who dropped the bomb, allowing Hitler to compete with him (with the added fact this is in an alternate timeline where Brian prevented 9/11.)
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Like most characters in the series, he is played completely for laughs due to his foolishness and incompetence (e.g. being knocked off his unicycle and punched in the face by Peter Griffin) with the added fact he is a parody of the real-life person. For example, when Death states his importance by suggesting to Peter to imagine a world where Adolf Hitler never died, Peter imagines him making a talk show where he has Christian Chandler moon his audience.
- He loves his wife Eva Braun, as they laugh together before committing suicide. At the very least, the two have a mutual friendship.
- He (or his past self in the 1910s at least) is genuinely affable towards Stewie when he tips him money for his dance.
Trivia[]
- He was the origin of the first cutaway gag in Family Guy, as noted by his hatred of a Jew above.
